I don't subscribe to brands as such, as all the popular brands are good in their own way. too many commentators would have you believe that not having a certain hook, material, colour etc., will result in failure - nonsense! Use what you have to hand and have confidence in your ability. Catching trout is not as difficult as many "experts" would have you believe.

⁠@@troutfishingworld6663 The reason i had asked i because the hook that you are using looks and appears to be of the same that i usually use, Firehole St**** in 1, 2, or 3x heavy. I never had a problem with larger trout straightening these hooks out, resulting in loss of fish however, i have this year alone fishing in our special regs areas i have had five fish in the 3 to six pound range completely straighten them out rendering the fly completely useless This is why i had asked.
