Glad you're safe from the storm. All of the damage that I see on videos makes nervous. I live in Houston so I decided to do an evacuation find of $500 in small bills. This will go towards gas, hotel, food, etc if I need to evacuate but also towards replacing food in my fridge that goes bad or maybe even those cool fans you mentioned. It's different from my emergency fund but still used for a weather type emergency. I have $60 towards it so far and I'm putting away as much as I can towards it each week

That is VERY smart! And not something I had thought of until we had this storm happen. We had cash on hand, and a lot of places weren't able to accept debit. Losing all that food had to be a pain, but I heard that you might be able to recoup some of the cost by checking with your local power company, or FEMA.

If you could see the pile of do-overs I have from 2 days of trying to get those envelopes made properly, you would think I was bananas. 😂 But I am pretty sure that I finally got them printed in a way that others can make them as well. You got me thinking that I'll do a test run to make sure you guys can make them, and put up a Cloud Nine Members one in a few days! Watch that community tab! Thank you so much for the FEMA advice! They helped us with Katrina when my husband was stationed in NOLA. I always forget they exist lol! I just found your videos today and I really love your method and your adorable sheets. You might already know this, but you can contact your insurance about your lost food. Also, in Maine (don't know about other states) you can file a claim with DHHS for the cost of your lost food. Hope you and your family are ok and that the overwhelm of the situation passes quickly. ❤

April, how do you keep track of what you spend from the grocery budget versus the gas budget on the Regions card? So that you know what you have left in each category?

I use the "true budget sheet" I have in the set for that when I need to. Overall, I pretty much know the $50 for gas is easy because I do 2 $25 fill ups, so I don't need to track that. And that $50 for cats is typically the same things either a container of litter + soft food or dry food + some left over for next month. In addition to that, anytime I check the Regions card I can see the balance right there. So, I know what's left of the budget by checking the app. But when I really need to track the budgets closer, I use that "true budget sheet". I hope that helps
