Penny is the Only character that I know of in the game that can hard counter Jeff’s ultimate. If you don’t know this, you obviously don’t know how to play Penny. She can also instantly cancel any charge up ultimate with a single right click I honestly don’t understand why she’s a vanguard. She doesn’t play anything like one. If you’re on the front line, you’re a bad penny player.

She's actually fantastic on payload maps off/def, tons of protected cover spots to hide your nest behind that enemy has to rush to get rid of it. You either get constant value or they have to move out of position.

I finally got in the groove with her play style and just farmed mvp/svp today. Even in the hard losses I was clearly outperforming, her kit's value just isn't very obvious since she doesn't really play like a normal tank, so people assume she's garbage.

As a wolverine main myself for about 9 hours now, the leap’s cooldown is what really holds him down because that thing is on a whopping 12 second cooldown, which feels bad when it’s not something you can reliably use. It’s like giving Doomfist the 8 second slam, it just feels clunky. Additionally, his chasing game is abysmal in comparison to Black Panther or Spiderman because people can easily just run away and Wolverine can’t catch-up without expending another dash to confirm the kill. Personally, buffs I would give him would be to give Wolverine’s leap from 12 to 9 seconds and his enhanced primary fire should have a movement speed boost during the duration it is active just so he’s not struggling to walk towards the enemy. I don’t mind if he doesn’t have great self sustain if it meant he’s a high risk high reward based character. I do feel his passive as well just sucks in most situations because you often just run when it happens so maybe a smaller cooldown and less overhealth gained as a trade-off? Anyways, his only redeeming qualities is the fact he can live for a while with the right support given to him and also his ability to blow up tanks is pretty good. Otherwise, he’s just okay

@VYNYL_Music tru, honestly tho I like his passive, because on paper it's pretty good, an automatic second health bar with cc immunity that turns into true health is nice but it's so unreliable because of the long cooldown and you cant actually control how you use it. When it's online It let's you fight for longer and makes 1v1s against other characters a cake walk. If his passive reset on kill, than wolverine would be an insane snowball character where he would just keep full healing after each kill.

Melee characters (except Iron Fist. Fuck that guy) seem to have 2 modes the game just randomly picks from. Unkillable menace that 1v6s effortlessly or free kills. Wolverine either claps my cheeks (even when I'm Venom) or plays respawn simulator after each 1v1 no matter who I pick. He's crazy and can basically juggle you as you watch your health bar vanish... but he can't do it reliably. Meanwhile, no matter who I pick it feels like Iron Fist doesn't take damage and just deletes you while flying at you if you run. Literally had him insta kill me as Vemon after hitting e at 50 hp, getting full healed, and hitting 6 with ult (was around 2 or 3 thousand hp). He turned to me, tanked 6 people focusing him, and wiped us all. The game's fun but character damage feels random at times

loki is hella underrated, he's a dps/heal brid that can absolutely pump in clump fights because his clones triple his damage/healing output in aoe, his l shift basically negates most ults which is SUPER fucking strong, and his real talent lies in his ultimate, it can absolutely turn the tides on a game, stealing the right ult at the right time is probably the most satisifying move in this game id put him either high B or low A, but the people saying hes low B or C do not know his character or playstyle and assume he's just a shittier version of the best healers like mantis or snow also peni below hulk is CRIMINAL

Penny is especially good when paired venom, the amount of kills I got with the team-up ability. Overall I would say penny is either high B to mid or even high A

Jay3 is lowkey sleeping on Cloak and Dagger. He put Luna and Mantis in S tier, because of their enormous amount of healing on their ults, while Cloak and Dagger's ult also heals for 220/s (Luna's healing mode heals for like 250/s), while dealing some damage as well. Dagger has hands down the most reliable ranged healing in the game and it's also all AOE. Cloak's E ability not only blinds enemies, but also increases their damage taken by 20% for 3 seconds and most people don't even know about it, because it's not shown in a trailer (and well, most people don't read ability descriptions). This ability is extremely strong. His RMB is potentially a 2nd ultimate with a 12s cooldown if you're playing with a coordinated team. You can use it to save your whole team from so many ultimates, like Thor's or Jeff's.

Dagger is an S. Cloak is a B. Cloak needs more utility from rightclick. I think it wears off of him too quick. Also their ultimate is high risk low reward, they are very killable during the dashes because of the pause after each dash.

One thing about Loki is he has to be high ground to heal from distance because when he places the clones next to him you can just beam enemy's while healing your teammates at the same time if nearby so that teammate doesn't die allowing you to keep that teammate alive to do more damage this becomes insane when combined with a close range character like iron fist. In my opinion high A when with friends/ people you know and can talk to but mid B when you can't talk to people

To the guy who said captain is good but is only bad cus people play too slow in the beginning. I am a captain America main who is constantly aggressive and he cant do anything, unless you literally have better characters doing things while youre getting smashed in, youre a wet noodle. They are trying to get his damage going which is effectively 2 punches and then 4 45 damage shield throws that hit twice...which would be great if the tanks on the enemy team were completely immune to it. And then you have his shield toss which barely hits more than 2 people at best, dealing less damage on the second person. You cant even dive anyone with his mobility because you have no self peel other than deflect, which is on a random 1 second refresh, only has 400 hp and deflect isnt worth a damn unless its an ult, and has absolutely no way of bursting anyone down with his abilities. As a support you can continue to heal your team and outheal his damage with your own healing, or just turn around and win the 1v1 and thats not even including the hela or hawkeye that will fire a log right between the eyes.

I think a couple of these will go up soon as people learn them. Peni feels correct but if people learn how to use her tether ability for movement more and use the bombs more offensively she could go up the list. Cap could maybe move up later too, I think people don’t use his kit well and idk what well is yet. But I’d already say C&D is maybe S, not for healing but for utility, the blind + zen orb equivalent every 10ish seconds goes crazy and the Suzu cloak can be a bonkers get out of jail free card. Having that much util on an excellent healer who can easily kill the dive DPS targeting them? Less flashy ult, but insanely consistent and varied value.

Yep. A well-played Peni almost feels like a guaranteed win if your team is equally matched with the enemy because they can't afford the resources to contest your setup, but struggles quite massively with a team that isn't adequate. You'll never be the weak link, but you can't exactly hard carry either. I can farm mvp/svp, but those svp's don't really matter beyond a bit of personal satisfaction.

Peni is an absoulute beast. Chuck mines into the backlines of teamfights to distract healers, hold corners with her nest and slowly heal as you chisel healthbars, literally the best stun in the game on a 3 second cooldown, makes fights agaisnt ironfist and iron really easy, while being able to freeze divers so your damagers can take them out. The ult is pretty weak, but its good at disrupting a team push, splitting off their healers, and soaking up mad damage while your team cooks from afar. but by all means, call her trash so she doesnt get nerfed, i beg of you

Ive only played a little bit. I love Iron Man. Lol. Ive only done quickplay. But i consistently put out top three damage and top three in kills. Maybe im just playing against bad players. But i think his strength lies in flanking and attacking from strange angles in the air. Plus hes pulses have great splash damage when powered up. And his flight boost allows him to hit and run pretty easily.

Hard agree. You have to play him to know his flaws. Black Panther and Magik, and even Wolverine in some comps, just outperform and can consistently and reliably win duels against him. His cooldowns and utterly being shut down against tanks, other melees, people being heald, and crowd control gives him a hard time. Penni Parker and Mantis just destroy your chances, and they are honestly high tiered consistently Like, sure, he can burst and kill with ease, and can counter certain characters very well... but you'd have to fight a solo character that's removed from their team if you aren't being pocket healed.... which you ideally aren't, if you are flanking to get those kills and safe damage in the first place...

@@AidanDonnelly-x9i I'd argue "balance" instead of "buffing", cuz if we mention Iron Fist buffs then the low elo players (80% of the playerbase) are gonna riot Read this from another comment but I found it actually kinda okay; Make his lock-on require more aim, reduce the distance of his lunges on his auto attacks (so it makes it slightly harder to follow flying characters) In exchange, give him genji dash reset (Reset his dragon kick) upon elim. His mobility is decent but without CD's it's a bit too slow to get into position and engage. If you use his dragon kick to engage you're gonna end up in the middle of the enemy team if they're playing stacked and end up dead. Playing respawn simulator with him isn't fun either.

I have a 20+ win streak with Peni on ranked, but I still think she's not very good. I suspect when I reach higher ranks i'll have a much, much harder time. Against people that are not dumb and can read, she can get easily shut down. The strongest part about her is that she forces people to play a certain way against her, so you're the enemy to adjust to you and that's fucked. But when you do the bare minimum effort to countering her, well good fucking luck to her.

@@cairax23 She just forces enemies to either accept her harassment or commit a lot of resources to pushing her out of her setup, so if your team is decent enough to keep the enemies engaged, you can usually wipe the floor with them, but if your team isn't playing up to standard, you end up having to either cut your losses and give ground or die so often that it becomes difficult to get her properly set up. I think she's better than many give her credit for, but in the sense that if you really master her you'll never be a weak link, but still won't be able to hard carry a particularly struggling team.

Not accounting for team up abilities in this list is a huge miss Imo. when people are playing to win and people are like scarlet witch is C but you make magneto a 2v6 character that character is definitely no longer C and worth changing the list. Of course forcing team ups will make certain comps bad like hulk iron man/wolverine cuz youre forced to make bad characters slightly better by adding another bad character to your team. but characters like captain america getting kill pressure with thor's team up for dive comps is strong not exactly S but makes him high B or A.

Your idea would make a lot of sense if the character for the teamup wasn't so utter garbage. Would you rather have an A/S tier, best/second best tank in the game and an S tier DPS character. Or would you have a slightly better tank every 20 seconds or so, and a c tier character the rest of the time? Scarlet witch, the woman who has literally no ultimate ability, verses Hela, Hawkeye, punisher ect? This is why the team up wasn't taken into account. Honestly im not against peni hate since it could mean less competition or buffs But as a peni player i gotta say he's really wrong. Personally im often popping off with mvps and massive KDs. What people don't understand is she's an ambusher. Her entire design is massacre enemies who are led into her nest or passively damaging enemies in a fight, but as a proper tank she's bad at her job.

Exactly, I just set up a nest on a defensible off angle and harass with damage/cc at range. The enemy has to either deal with it or try to force me out, which takes significant resources and at least a few people, or a couple tanks. Anyone who tries to contest you alone is probably dead unless it's a tank who really plays their cards right--and they probably still can't force you out--so unless my whole team gets wiped and the enemy can all rush me, I'm nearly incontestable.

@ usually i find rooms best since it can't be easily targeted, hard for enemies to dodge, and often as means to lockdown a flank path. In addition if im hurt i can retreat into safety or camp a health pack. But if census says she's bad then i wont argue to a buff🤣

Haven’t finished but I wanna say a few takes: Iron is definitely dog water free kills for me since I main spiderman. Usually have this man flying back to spawn if I don’t secure the kill but I will say good iron mans can retaliate especially with gamma ray boost cause I just recently got a taste of it and it makes his chest beam shred my health if I don’t be careful but if I avoid it he still lets me farm kills. Peni is not bad thats a hilarious take. Peni is the ultimate anti dive and she can get so much value while sitting back essentially doing nothing. I have gone against Peni’s that have secured a capture objective so hard that my team was never on point cause they seemed too scared to touch the webs. I have also played her cause I wanted to be able to flex a tank and her kit intrigued me with the high difficultly and I have nothing but respect for peni mains. Lets not forget her ult is the make space button cause you can literally push the entire enemy team back or recapture an objective before its too late. She also has a stun on a 3 second cooldown… need I say more!? Didn’t know magneto was dominating like that for some of ya’ll. I haven’t seen the oppressive magnetos yet but I believe you when you say that sword team up is probably nasty. Some team-turn characters disgusting. Edit: Forgot to mention Loki being ranked c is funny. He is underrated and a force to be reckoned with. Basically has a bap immortality field, can copy anyones ult, slips away unnoticed in between clones making him hard to dive, and he can get paired with hela to just get rezzed or get bonus health for free?? Loki is going to comp stomp soon when we know solid setups just cause he does so much utility but does need help healing cause he isn’t a solo healer. Ok I’m seeing a trend of crazy takes. Spiderman at C is criminal only because you haven’t climbed enough ranks. Your average Spiderman is doodoo butt and will spend the whole game just zipping around doing nothing but once enough Necros watchers or spiderman enjoyers put the hours he’ll be a high elo high skill character. I have solo carried as spider man all through bronze cause I just started comp today taking my time mastering combos and he becomes the annoying fly they can never kill. It takes really good cc uses to counter him once you’re at that level cause mantis and luna now have to save their ccs for me but I have gotten good at baiting it or killing them quick enough so they are always wasting their time with me. Trust me, unless they outperform Spiderman with the ccs he is going to be a high elo monster. The storm is coming, I have learned a lot seeing necros guides and once people realize spidermans aren’t just getting like 8-10 knocks anymore they are going to respect him and try to ban him past diamond.

Iron man needs a ton of movement buffs. Like 3x speed when ascending or descending, and 2x speed when going into full flight mode. I think that and maybe increasing the aoe effect on regular blast could make him viable. I literally turned into full flight to get away from an iron fist and he chased me down mid air with kicks and jumps. Like wtf is that.

@ exactly. I honestly think he’a too stagnant in the air to pose a threat cause anyone can snipe him not even just me as spiderman. If I told everyone to target him while I go do half of my combo he is dead no question. The fact iron fist can chase you nonstop is crazy but it kinda makes sense when I think how I have chased iron mans down easily to land one more web cluster to finish them off. Bro is not mobile at all and that really makes it hard to enjoy him I’m sure.

I use Wolverine for up front melee when I have a Magneto or Strange as tank. I use his 5 second damage soak for the effective 600 health + regen health. A short little bonus tank and possibly isolator/pusher to get the opposing tank off of a point. I also sometimes hang back to counter characters hunting healers, like an Iron Fist or rear hunting Venom. I'd overall put him as mid-C tier. He's a gameplay favorite, but there are a ton of others that are better.

Peni is at least high B. People Seen to really underestimate her because she was trash in the beta and now shes actually really good imo but she doesn’t give that much Feedback so people think they’re not doing anything. Shes kinda like Engi in tf2. You absolutely shut down a choke with your nest, but don’t do that much yourself, because you defend your Nest a keep the choke absolutely locked for the enemy. Her mines are lethal as shit and can’t be easily removed when placed under a web.

People hate on Iron Man because they don't know how to play. Is he like Pharah? Yeah he's like Pharah. Which means he's gotta use cover and mobility far more than people do. His speed boost doesn't have a cooldown, unlike Pharah's, which means he can dash, shoot, dash, shoot, you shouldn't be a free kill. Since there's a lot of cover lower down, you should play low most of the time, only going up when it's needed for some good shots. The laser should only really be used when the consistent single target dps is needed. Like against mobile characters, or blasting the enemy tank from behind your Dr. Strange shield. For his ultimate, like I've already said, he's very strong when used more from near ground level, up close. Same for his ult. And that's only really going to work if you can use your boost to get a flank. Similarly, in Armor Overdrive his Micro-missile Barrage fires in a random spread in front of him, instead of two lines. Way up in the sky they spread out so much you're maybe hitting enemies with a single missile. But up close you can definitely output enough burst damage to take down most heroes near instantly. So why play a character that can fly if you're going to be low and closer rather than ten miles in the sky? Well just because his damage is best up close doesn't mean you don't have the option to attack from elsewhere, and he has the most positioning options of any character, Storm doesn't have a dash. Besides, shooting from behind cover is a good way to recharge your fuel relatively safely and still contribute. And Penni in D are you kidding? She's great at zone control. It's also absurd that you think Hulk isn't great. Team wide shield that doesn't require you to stand behind him? Where Dr. Strange is a powerful shooting team enabler, Hulk beefs up dive teams hard, or can protect squishies from divers just like Magneto. Strange doesn't really have much against divers except his ult. I don't have an argument for Wolverine though, I'm not sure if he's any good.

9:35 my main gripes with him is that he's good only in very coordinated play. By himself he's super slow, have zero mobility and dmg compared to over tanks. Super slow attack speed and projectiles velocity, while every character zooms across. Fully charged RMB does like 12 more dmg, and not full does twice less than LMB, and no headshots for him. I wanna say he's good tank, but terrible character. But who am i to judge
