I totally agree with you, they also have been very silent about this Steam release of Gunz, literally no information besides the Steam page and their blank website, I'm thinking all they are doing is trying to find a way to implement their cash shop and let the game release as is. We might just get the IJJI or last release of Gunz and that’s it. With it being this company I don’t have high hopes. I truly miss Gunz and out of every game to ever be re-release I'm glad to live through this to see another Gunz launch. I do feel like it’s going to be a total money sink and that’s the main and only reason they want to bring it back. Will gamers today have the patience to learn the game and not quit, well I guess we'll find out but I can see a lot of people trying it and quitting.

One of the first times I've genuinely been excited for a game drop, it's fun to play on Private servers sure, but on an official one you have the whole community coming together on the same server so we aren't scattered, it also means there are gonna be new players *Hopefully* increasing the comp.

The team behind old school runescape is the main reason the game is doing so well today so that would be insane for Gunz but requires a lot of people. Runescape and Gunz are my two most played childhood games and i'm actually extremely excited to grind this game again so hopefully they don't mess this up! Also I'd love some competitive questing because questing was pretty much the only thing I did back in the day. I really enjoyed it as character levels took quite a bit of time and had a hiscore on the homepage

Create Atleast 4 New Maps in the Design like Gunz would be. Update Grafics. Use Max lowest Delay 900delay Shotguns. Make a Good Functional Anti Cheat system , with ingame Detectin included and active ( expierienced GM , GOOD PLAYERS ) to identify suspicious Players and take a closer look. Let Players Be able to change the FOV like they want it to be. Give Special Rewards or ( currency ) based on mode. Clanwar counts as ranked / duel ladder so u get a currency for it. Work on Ingame Tutorials ( movements + input guide with a bot that shows how its done and which buttons u have to press in which combination. Launch Atleast 1 Event Weekly. Launch Tournaments. Open a Gunz Forum to share media. Not Discord. implement Archetype ( sols config ) into ingame options video. Add additional Crosshairs. Cosmetic Online Shop. Reward top 10 Clans of the game with rewards / Monthly ( coins - and Clanwar set for 1 month color based on rank ) and more and more and more . i remember buying a cosmetic that has stat and level on it lvl 7 - 15 you have to buy shotty and sword with less delay too back in ijji once your level 16 you have to level down meaning you have purposely jump down and kill yourself over n over for like 30mins to 1hr to level your character down to 15 so you can equip back your cosmetic with stats on it and your shotty,sword has level too there is also a channel back in ijji Rookie channel only allows player level 1-15 and my alt character have to stay there forever i Hope they dont do this kind of P2W on Steam Gunz you have to keep swiping once your character level up to a certain level to minmax your damage and hp....thanks for telling the truth sir kadai i hope Steam Gunz sees this so they can rethink what struggles we had back in the day also shout out to the clan who adopts me " G6 Clan " back in ijji

I was thinking the shotgun/other weapon damage should be nerfed too. It feels like as long as you can aim well enough, BF/DBF/other sword shenanigans are pointless because you'll never get close enough to somebody with really good aim.

Solid list! I remember the days when I was on top clans... then hackers started to ruin the game, and everyone moved to private servers. Ah... good old days. Not to mention, the sound tracks are low-key fire. P2w was a major issue, and I hated how they didn't even last forever. All this is great for player retention, the graphics updates itself(assuming its an actual overhaul) will be also be great for player acquisition, but if this game really wants to breath new life into it aside from retaining the oldies, they need to in my opinion add some type of new ambitious system within the game, and market that like crazy with perhaps a story element.(If there is LORE, i definitely dont know it, and i played since the beginning of ijji) That is just wishful thinking on my part though, still ill look forward to see what this release is like.

You should really explain how some staff on PServers were also so involved in Gunz you would have random GMs actually playing with the players (fairly) and how some staff would host events for players such as hide and seek or dodgeball. Winners getting event items / event weapons to add flare. Im sure that type of activity within the community by staff members definitely improved player retention rates I would sign up to be a GM for steam Gunz and I would play 8 hours a day hahaha.

I really hope that they have a anti cheat, i don't know where FXP the P server u and i play do with their anti cheat as I'm pretty sure they have one. There was a guy named testacc123 who was lawnmower hacking in training and flying and so on. Supposedly he was "training" he said for steam gunz and other P servers so i hope the release is a nice and at least becomes a smooth experience if not on launch.

I honestly think they should add the extra skills from gunz 2, it will keep the players engage if they can level up and use a skill that is outside the kstyle. For example, Ivan 's death strike is so badass that it is hands down the only thing good about gunz 2

I used to dev on this pserver called DR Gunz (daemons ring gunz) an eternity ago, friend just sent me this video and man this is making me nostalgic as hell. Do you happen to know if that server still exists or what happened to it? Its funny hearing your suggestions, I remember trying to do so much of that stuff. "Anti-lead" was in its infancy around the time I stopped doing anything gunz related, I wonder if that got any more sophisticated over the years. I remember at the time one of the major things people disliked about it is it was very normal for people to have wildly different pings on pservers so all you were doing was trading leading shots for needing to lead your dodging / movement which kind of felt worse since it felt more like you'd randomly die to something you visually had dodged way more often. Not sure if that would just not be as much of an issue with more players and tighter pings or if they made that better over the years. Also also, iirc the guy who sort of controlled the server's name was Neodio or something like that, I wonder if that CM named "Neo" on the discord is him. Would be crazy

@@KadaiGaming I was Ohm on there, had this outfit just for me that was pure white and the hat was a white face texture that would bleed into the default face and the back of the head was empty because that's just how the models are in this game by default. I made some more skins but the only one I remember was some silly looking like goth skin that was just some reused models that had ohm symbols all over it that was black white and grey. I remember I had to redo the entire client from the base ijji client because there was that error on launch where you would frequently crash on meshing from all the spaghetti code people threw in there and I was a teenager who had no idea what I was doing and was editing code in notepad so I didn't know how to diagnose and fix the problem specifically. Took me like 6 months to rebuild all the DR gunz changes, while also rebalancing all the weapons and armor and working on all sorts of other things. I was proud as hell too because the community quadrupled after I dropped that patch and it was sustaining and growing. Went from 50 average players with 200 at peak everyday to 200 players average with 800 at peak. I also was very anti-p2w and I didn't like that stats were tied to armor so I made all the armors have the same stats and put the bulk of the stats on the rings. I made "donator" items have equal stats to the higher level stuff you could get for free so you were at best just paying to have stuff right away instead of having to grind a little, they were just unique skins people had made. I ended up quitting though because apparently after I made the changes the shop popped off and made like 30k in 2 months from donator items according to neo and I didn't see a dime even though it was almost entirely all my work being done on it. I kinda wish I kept learning and started my own server or something instead, I had such a blast with the development and community aspect of that whole experience but the money part left a sour taste in my mouth. Wonder what ended up happening to all that work xD

I agree with a lot of what you're saying but I think just keeping shotguns and melee for rank is just reinforcing k-style which is fine but I think we should also reward people that aren't as confident or good at fighting up close and have good aim even at fast speeds with revs. There's got to be a balance I agree.

yeah, im one of the people who prefers lead over antilead. due to gunz being old and janky, antilead is super susceptible to cheats like dmg reduce/hitbox manipulation etc. i agree that it will be a turnoff for new players, and tbh a part of me is also saying this because lead was my jam back in the days. but for me, the main reason to play gunz is the nostalgia of the original i gunz/ijji game, not the pservers. to me, lead is part of k-style and gunz, if you remove it, you remove a big tactical element. love the content btw, keep it up!
