Love this wood turning has always peeked my interest maybe one day I’ll get to give it a go if I’m able to pick up a lath cheap enough . Great job you could sell these

Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Woodturning is a lot of fun, and you don’t need an expensive lathe to get started. Keep an eye out for used equipment-you can often find a good deal that way. When you’re ready to dive in, it’s a rewarding hobby, and you’ll be amazed at what you can create. Selling the pieces is definitely an option once you get the hang of it. Hope you get to give it a try soon!

Yes i hope to soon i have been keeping an eye out for a small and cheap one to fit my small garage i have very little space. I hope to make a work bench soon that will house everyone i need and have it possibly able to be on wheels so i can move it when it needs to and on its legs when i need it to be. Love your channel and your encouraging thanks 🙏

I just use an offcut from a 2x4 to hit on my chisels...a piece of wood is a piece of wood.

A piece of wood can definitely do the job! I just enjoy turning on the lathe, so I end up killing two birds with one stone-getting a new tool and some lathe practice. Thanks for the comment, and happy woodworking to you!

I get broken baseball bats and turn my mallets out of the big end

That’s a great idea! Repurposing old baseball bats into mallets is a clever use of materials, especially with the larger end providing a nice weight and balance for woodworking. I'll have to keep an eye out for some old bats to try that myself. Thanks for sharing!
