Nice job! I suffered through a 5k today, too. All out in 37:33 mins after not running for almost a decade and 5+ years of not really exercising. I'm back into running for around 6 weeks now and your channel was a huge influence for that, so thank you for that and well done, Sarah!

Dream racing location would be Guernsey. I just signed up for the Easter Running Festival there. 5k on Good Friday flat and fast course and a 10k on Easter Monday on another flat and fast course. Both runs on coastal routes with sea air. On the Saturday there's a cross country run around the beautiful North of the island. A cheeky 4 x 1 mile relay around a park on Easter Sunday before lunch.

A video where the runner isn't smiling through it and talking throughout is so much more relatable 🙂 A technical question though -- what is 'all out' when used in this context. I have been trying to understand that term as used on this channel and other running sites/videos. I had figured it would literally mean an all-out, max effort sort of thing. How do you manage to keep a sub-160 heart rate for more than half of an all-out run? I recently ran a 5K PB (23:53) - my HR was 180+ bpm in the first 500m and had an upward trajectory throughout ending at 202 bpm at 5km. Is there a way to be at 'all-out' = max effort while not having a very elevated heart rate?

Well done. Now that you've made that film it seems such an obvious thing to do. I need to push myself harder my heart rate never gets much above 150. Once I discovered running using heart rate and not pace and that 80% of training should be easy I settled straight into a comfort zone. Watching this I've just realised that!

This is currently my goal as well! I'm still stuck at 5:20/km but I'll attempt a 5k @ 5:10/km this Sunday 💪🏻

would love to run on the 1992 Barcelona Olympics track. I've been inside the stadium, but not onto the track

That was actually a really cool video, I like the way you guys did it. Would love to watch more like it. Maybe different distances or something. Was cool to see her push herself, she did a great job.
