Good morning Sir, Shout out to you from the D. So glad to have you back, I think the MLA still has advancements that can be made, MLA is newer technology and maybe they could integrate quantum dots into the MLA technology to boost the color volume higher (just a thought). FlatpanelsHD did a comparison between the C4 and G4 and through their measurements showed how MLA does boost the red, green, blue and white subpixel colors higher than THE C4. And being honest, I love the QD-OLED displays and think the advancement is amazing and if Samsung supported Dolby Vision, I would definitely buy it as the price to performance ratio for me is worth it. I'm a fan of all TV technology and competition helps to bring innovations to consumers so we all win in the end.

Absolutely love the G4 83”. Apparently also much better than the 65” version. Very bright, great colors, superb out of the box accuracy. Simply zero flaws, perfect picture.

i feel Samsung is missing out on a large number of consumers like myself with their refusal to support DV. Regarding LG, I have a 77 inch G2 and G4. My G2 just got a dead pixel vertical line down the TV. Waiting for LG to call me and set up a repair. Sony is just too overpriced for what they offer in my opinion and I hate those huge feet on their 77 inch A95L. It would be great if LG was to release a QD Oled Panel but i feel it's wishful thinking just like wishing thinking SS would support DV.

I'm just guessing that LG may not do QD OLED until it's possible to have a blue quantum dot. And I don't disagree with this, if it's the case. Their white subpixel layer, imo, does produce more natural tones and brighter, more natural whites (especially on their upper tier models with MLA). It's just hard to not notice the pinkish tint you tend to get on bright scenes with the blue layer going on behind QD OLED. Don't get me wrong, the colors are definitely great otherwise. But if we're splitting hairs at the top end like this, I'd rather just have more natural bright lights at that point. And I think whatever tech they end up going with, or anyone for that matter... I'd like to see the color pop but also with bright, natural white clouds and sun light.

Samsung swallowed their pride and brought LG OLED Panels so LG can do the same and buy Samsung OLED Panels, If the G4 had a QD OLED panel they would have won the shootout.

TKK, the question should be, did Samsung Display make selling their QD OLED panels more profitable for LG? Keep in mind while WOLED does not have some strengths of QD OLED like color volume does it matter for every day content? This economy upcoming is going to be a wakeup call for all these public traded companies because sales are down generally across the board. People are facing high food prices, insurance, health care, etc. depending on where they live. Honestly both Samsung and LG should be working on getting there panels at better everyday prices. Samsung buying WOLED panels is a telling sign TKK. The technology that can be produced more efficiently and profitably with more options wins. The chase for higher nits, wider colors reminds me of the earlier days of audio when it was SACD vs DVD Audio and the market choose the IPOD MP3 format.

I just found out today that electronics did their TV shoot out two weeks ago, but after seeing the results, S95D clears the G4 in every category which I’m shocked by being every category, but it makes sense because it’s a generation 3 panel and LG needs to stop being stubborn and buy panels from Samsung before they get stuck and blown by the competition

Samsung was the one with the Ego! They said they would never adopt OLED technology. LG is still that company most customizable television. Best to is the Best to others. You love Hellcats cars but I prefer a M5. Both great cars but difference preference. The M4 is the same as the G4 simply wireless. Basically it’s the same as the G7 vs W7. Know the game. Until PHOLED is received then we will know what a OLED can really do.

Fortunately LG does listen to feedback so hopefully they check your channel out tkk. You make great points. Not sure average person might have M series money. M series innovation plus quantum dots equals lots of $$$$ to me. They should bring qd to G5 and MLA to C5. And same processing across all series except B series.

I think with LG being in the OLED business the longest they have a lot of pride in being the best for so many years that they want to win by doing it the "LG way" I'm sure they understand that the QD-OLED is pretty much the new standard but I believe Samsung started that and Sony followed suit. So yes I really do feel like it's this ego thing where LG wants to get back on top and say "we did it our way" and it's kinda an interesting approach because LG could potentially come out with a new technology. LG has to be on top I don't think content on doing the same as everybody else

Lg’s mla is great. The only downfall is that they’re using w-OLED. It has its limitations, mainly in color. Lg panels provide great whites with exceptional brightness. But they don’t push color the way qdoled can. But there are some that still personally prefer lg and what they offer over the competition. Not saying they’re the best, but people still have preferences.

Samsung coming out with OQ-OLED in 2022 caught LG off guard. They are still trying to recover from that. Unfortunately it takes a big company like LG time to retool and come out with a better product. Sony was smart and stopped making panels and could quickly adapt and switch to QD-OLED for their top of line TVs.

Samsung is LG’s main competitor as both are South Korean companies. Qd oled is Samsung tech. They’re not going there, at least not yet. Especially since lets be real, these top tier tv’s are really splitting hairs how close they are.

LG need to develop a better solution than QD OLED. Their own pure RGB panel. Something with a square sub pixel arrangement and different outcome in terms of the lifted blacks QD OLED still gets with ambient light. That way, they will have something better then the completion, rather than the same.

Now that G series has really improved processing I don't see how they get any more improvements from MLA . I expect other than slight panel improvements they will always be slightly behind

I am considering the either G4, A95L or the S95D. But I still have my doubts about all of them. The G4 is nice but it’s still a WOLED and does not have the Color volume that the S95D or A95L. The A95L is too expensive (although, I have the opportunity to get an open box for nearly half the price but I think it was a floor model). As for the S95D, I like the glare free screen but I don’t trust Samsung’s build quality. What are your thoughts?

samsung makes the best gaming tv's right now, sony a95l has the best picture quality when it comes to movies but the g3 was not far from it, matter facts both tvs got a 9.2 score on rtings and i believe the g3 was brighter, i remember when lg was the best tv for gaming and for movies for those days are done, lg was the nvidia of the oleds as they had no competition before but samsung and sony turn the pages now so lg needs to do something to come back

I disagree to a certain extent from someone who owns a A95L and a Panasonic MZ2000 MLA, the best tv in my opinion in my house is Mla w oled MZ2000 , Alot more accurate than my A95L and better detail , and in my opinion a little bit better at processing.

But I respect your opinion for liking what you got, even if Panny was over here I wouldn’t personally buy that tv. No going back unless it’s meeting my needs for a specific size (my C4) or it’s just innovation that has me curious (my Bravia 9). But I feel you. I’m a big LG fan and have bought the C-series only since the C8, but they need QD OLED. I currently have an 83 inch C1 and 83 inch C3 and I’m not upgrading until I can get a QD OLED in an 83 inch or larger size

I love LG and im happy with the G4. I do think the colors are a bit better on the s95 I had but not by much. The detail, glossyness, brightness, 3d depth are all unreal on the G4. Also the build quality and O/S are great. If LG had QD it would be a perfect tv(except the shitty remote). For me personally samsung arent even on the tabel anymore, cheap parts, poor build quality, bad O/S, firmware nukes, horrid support. Basically everything except their panel tech sucks ass, alls they care about is margins. I do like Sony but the prices are pretty out there. Very interested to see what Lg and sony bring in 2025

I agree with you. The color saturation is not by much on qd-oleds. Lg's processing is now just about neck and neck with Sony. So qd will put them over the top. But the elephant in the room is reference monitor made by Sony. Seems Sony has an advantage over everyone else. I've said somewhere else 'king of tvs' moniker should include all the features that consumers use today not just picture quality.

My first thought was to buy a 83” G4, because of MLA technology. But (currently I have a Sony 85” FALD from 2019) I decided to buy the Sony Bravia 9 (85”), because it’s a great bright TV also in dark scenes very close to the best OLED TV’. However I think the current product line of LG is a little bit disappointing. MLA is good, but coming from last year (except 83”), M series is more or less the same as G series … It’s not the best year of LG and don’t want to wait for the G5. As far as OLED belongs, I would prefer QD-OLED’s like A95L or S95D, but unfortunately not available in 83”

Samsung is super aggressive with their qd-oled price. LG needs to give the C5 the mla and new processor. Drop the gallery line if need be. Drop the M, B and Z. Just make it great and affordable.

LG needs to take the year off and hit the drawing boards. They keep recycling the G2 design its time for a big leap. Maybe by 2026 they’ll adopt new tech and focus on production and listen to their consumers. Year 2025 with half off G4s and C4s would be a hard combo to beat.

It’s above the G4 with equal PQ options but more features, makes it their flagship. Flagship means their best, top of the line tv. You can’t even see the M4 in most big box retail stores that’s how unique it is.

I don't want QD-OLED at all, that's why I bought G4. If lg does that, no more five years of warranty. QD-OLED loses peak brightness faster than woled, so stick with woled

You aren’t their only consumer, sir. Them placing a QD-OLED in their lineup would be no different than them having LED options in their lineup, or MLA options, etc. They need the variance to keep the general consumer happy. @AllAboutTKK Everyone has their own opinion, but I think this is a more reliable technology, most people use their TV longer, QD-OLED simply loses peak brightness, up to 50%. Name me 1 QD-OLED that has a 5-year panel warranty, I'm just glad that every brand does its own thing, and is not a one-size-fits-all.

I tell you the big problem of LG technology they not a good Weak image processor algorithm ‏the need to put MLA green and yellow filter to make the screen look more brightness and it kills the color and not good black shadow detail do you know LG fix the problem on the technology
