My opinion on the wheels made by AFS and SVE

You're spot on, I totally agree, love that rear fascia shot of the MACH I, with the fat tires, pipes and stance, new edge's have a "great ass" one of the best of ALL cars, in my opinion....

I had 18 inch steeds ultralite wheels on my silver 01 GT and they looked good. I didn’t go into detail on the other wheels and sizes as much but they looked good. I would say in person they look better than in pictures.

I also had 18 inch OEM Ford chrome Y2K cobra R wheels (2000 Cobra R) that came in my orange cobra. They looked really good too.

Agreed, 18" afs cobras are perfect on terminators! AFS needs to let SVE make cobra reps. I really want 18" black chrome cobra reps

Having choices and variety is never a bad thing at all. I think it depends on the model as far as 17's or 18's. 17's look great on the Mach 1's and I think 18's look awesome on the Cobras.

Stock front wheels should have 245/45ZR17

If they are 17x9 then you would want 275/40/17

The reason AFS couldn’t keep up with production was the availability of aluminum billit blocks. When the recession hit all metals being shipped to the US took a increase in cost. It became supply and demand scenario. I was told by AFS that the cost (at the time) did not leave enough profit margin to make sense it continuing to produce the wheels. You can still order a set and wait but don’t be in a hurry.

lol AFS always had trouble keeping up with demand. Even back in 2015 they were notorious for going loooong stretches without Mach 1 wheels in stock.....to he point folk thought they were discontinued. They always come back, but the batches sell out....With that said it's always worth the wait. The AFS replicas are perfect

AFS recently made the 18" sets of the Mach 1 wheel in a 10.5" for the rear and 9" on the front. I bought a set of factory style grey insert ones for my 04 comp orange Mach 1. It makes the bowed appearance less noticeable and not such a tall look being 10.5" on the back. Plus the thinner 18 inch tires look better than 17s in my opinion, especially when the car is lowered . Also, to me the ones with black inserts don't look that good because the black gives the spoke a more defined look making it look thinner and more like a wagon wheel. Just my opinion.

Your azure blue mach 1 my favorite looking new edge. The paint, wheel, and exhaust combo are perfect. I appreciate the cobra's powertrain, but it's not nearly as good looking as a mach 1 or a bullitt imo.

Ohhh man, stock mach's need rear wheel spacers like theres no tomorrow..! BTW, I have the LMR deep dish chrome cobra wheels on the back of my 2003 zinc terminator and I get compliments all the time.

I have eibach pros on my blue Mach 1 and they were on my blue Bullitt too. I rolled the rear fenders so they wouldn’t rub. I would say sportlines and H&R are very close in drop height. My red Mach 1 had 18 inch saleens and SR springs when I bought it. They were about the same too

It's the same with their Terminator deep dish rims. You would have to get the fronts too because the paint is a lighter gray. But it's great there is a nice wheel option.

Great review Justin, I'm ordering a set of the SVE wheels and tires, wide rears with the 305's . I agree with you about the Mach 1 wheels, I wish I never changed mine , but now I can fix that. You're Mach 1 looks so good with the AFS wheels. 👍😁

@@dougsguitarlounge7927 It has the eibach pro kit with no isolators in the rear. The eibach sportlines that are red springs and the H&R SS are very popular. SR performance are very close as well.

Depends on what you want to do with the car. Nitto 555G2 are nice. That’s what I have.

since the SVE fronts are 17X9 they should have a 275/40/17 and the rears are 17X10.5 so they should have a 315/35/17. I would go with the nitto 555G2 street tire unless you want the drag radial on the rear or you could opt for cheaper tires

Just stock size 245/45/17. Inexpensive tires on the front are fine for me.
