Deeper you dig, the more you get (and it's a biiig difference). Put your drills underground right on top of the Tier 2 dirt. They work on any tier of dirt. Then either conveyor that up for refinement and sorting, or refine underground before sending it up for sorting. You can put quite a few drills into one refiner. And build the shops as soon as you can because you can buy another drill from each tier shop. If you can, build the ticket office and buy the crane truck before you start crafting drills so you can collect and use the forge marks scattered around (you put one in the crucible with the metals and get random stat boosts). Another note. I haven't found anywhere that you can get a water intake pipe yet. You're going to have to melt ice. Ice melters only work with tier one dirt, keep that in mind. One drill and one ice melter will get you started with a full sorting system using lava and water pressure boosters; it may stutter a bit but it works and you can add another drill to the melter after you start crafting drills to help it out. Bing bang boom, you're a millionaire. Edit: Correction, ice melters should be used with surface dirt specifically, not just Tier 1. Didn't have a problem with it lower at a different claim, but I started a new save and it had too many frost rock chunks at Waterside lower in Tier 1.

@@lanerobey5800 yea he made a bunch of stuff I recommend watching those, idk if they changed the game in regards of the ore and level of the dirt but it used to be the further down you go the better stuff you get and he had a dream of making a complete underground mine which he basically did and it was badass but yea idk if they changed it I guess we'll see in future episodes

@@albinoalce2205 They didn't change much I believe. I know you get Corestone at Tier 2 cuz that's where I'm at now. Haven't built the Tier 3 shop yet. Actually about to start playing now and rewatch his original playthrough. I should be able to get the crane again, make some of the upgraded drills, and move on to T3 before I go back to work Friday night 😂

Drae, a thought on your need for a slanted backboard; With the angled piece sloped away from the sorter, put the bucket underneath so the ore bounces off of the underside of the barrier and into the bucket.

You just need to look harder for the water pipes. Recommend rotating your build Recommend getting the auto smelt things asap, cuz an obtuse amount of resources in those buckets will lag you out after a bit. Shouldn't be a problem with one drill but if you upscale, definitely make that change soon. Hope you're well.

there is water pipes at shops selling conveier system but not the pipe providing water from river/lakes. You need the ice melter recommend at start having a ice melter along with the drill on top to provide water, once you dig down abit your gonna get a mix of permafrost rocks thingy along with ice and the ice melter won`t accept the permafrost rocks/dirt.

- Rotating your build right would allow for further expansion when you unlock Tier 2. - Because of the slight upwards release angle of the hand sorters, you need to place the pans towards the far edge of the concrete block away from the hand sorter. This will mean the ores land perfectly in the pans. - Put your filters after your valve. They take damage when lava flows through them, so putting them before the valve means they still get used.

You should move the pressure booster closer to your machinery for better pressure. Each pipe piece after the booster drops the pressure.

The hand sorter discharge shoots a weee far if you'll set your bucket at the edge of 1 block away opposite from where it comes out it'll land in your bucket everytime

In the town surrounded by the bubble, there was a machine that melts ice so if you have one mining ice and then putting it into the grinder, the grains in it or it, and then you have another minor, putting the ice in the ice melter and then you have conveyor, Up

​@@t3n0n79 it's to inflate the amount of interactions on videos per minute. If you think about it, let's say there are 5 bots per video that gets uploaded. There are roughly 2,500 videos uploaded every minute on youtube. The bots add an additional 12,500 video interactions. That boost the number of "viewers interacting on videos" per minute. Which inflates yt's stats.

Your drill does need to be a bit underground to get cloutium. The deeper you go the more you get. Never do surface drills.

i just skipped the hand sorter system and went straight for the conveir system up to tier 2 at the starter mine before i went into grinding money for the 2th claim and started big.

You can change the colour of the marker that shows you where you will drop items so its easier to see

To help You with sorting, You can use sleds for storage. Items on them can overlap, so You can have one for pipes, one for logic etc :) So far drill T1 and T2 is the same, only T3 drill and harvester is different and boy that's where the fun starts :D

Only thing drae really got right here was moving to a new plot before he built lol. Conveyor belts and water power still exist, they just require a new "thing" to get functional. Also having your drill on surface level snow literally gives you the smallest possible chunks. Pleaseeeee get that drill deeper lol

I suggest a zig zag type pattern. Drill deep in the ground, conveyors moving dirt or bulk items to the surface. Then sort above ground. /\ / \ ____ /
