1. I love the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer. One of the most impressive LEGO Star Wars sets-ever. 2. If you subscribe to Blocks magazine, they had a 4-5 month series showing how to build out the interior of the ship. You’d probably double your cost in extra parts, but it’s amazing and it doesn’t change any part of the official build.

Definitely wait till it’s either on sale/double points (definitely want to save some money) or try finding one online in a damaged box/NEW Sealed bags only, for less if you don’t care about collecting boxes/manuals
