Just had both ovaries and fallopian tubes removed today. Pain is unbeatable due to the gas...Gas X is not working, but doctor said that will go away in a few days. Laying in my back helps though. Looking forward to not being in pain everyday from having cysts. PCOS is the devil!😢

I had a 15cm ovarian cyst removed yesterday. Surgery went well and im feeling great today, just a bit sore and tender around the abdomen, but totally expected. Im sure you will be fine - good luck to you x

I’m about to endure the same surgery! I stumbled upon your part 2 vid, first. I had so many questions and your videos have helped so much! Thank you for sharing your story!! I have a 7cm cyst on my right ovary. Getting my right ovary, cyst and both fallopian tubes removed. I’m nervous! I’ve had 4 surgeries from the age of 3-13, but now that I’m 37 I pray I recover quickly as I did when I was younger. 😅 Do you think 1 week off of work is suffice?

You have had a lot of surgery experiences! Wow! You will be so happy to have your cyst removed. My pain and discomfort was quite bad and I started feeling better at 3 weeks. But, that’s just me. If you could get a second week off I would recommend it. Do listen to your body as you heal. Sending you positive vibes!

I feel like we experienced the same experience. I had my appendix taking out years before. Plus I had a c section! Ugh my body is tired. I’m still one week one after ovary removal

Yes, your body will be so tired! It is going through the recovery process and the first week is the worst. Please, be gentle with yourself - you are on the road to recovery. You will definitely start feeling better (more yourself) around 3 to 4 weeks. Take things nice and slow. Sending you lots of love!

I have had exploratory laparoscopic surgery, 3 c-sections, 2 mole removals cut out surgically and gallbladder surgery done laparoscopically as well. Lots of scar tissue! I see surgeon in a few weeks to discuss what he will be doing. Nervous about how they will proceed due to all the existing scar tissue ugh! Right ovary and fallopian tube comes out for sure.

How are you? Thank you for sharing. Did you receive any nerve block or lidocaine for your incisions? I’m wondering why it was so painful upon waking up. So glad you are over it all! I have a dermoid cyst and still have to get surgery.

Hi Shannon! Thanks for watching my video. I did not receive a nerve block or lidocaine for my incisions. The intense pain might be from my uterine biopsy that I had at the same time too. Perhaps, I was cramping from the biopsy site? I have had my appendix out before and the pain was similar to that plus the bleeding from the uterine biopsy which was not fun! There was just so much going on with my body. The first week was rough for me and the second was much better. I am 7 months post-op now and I feel amazing! I am so glad to get the cyst out of my body. Best wishes to you!

Hello Debbie, i just found your video and I feel better knowing what to expect. I'm scheduled to have a laparascopic diagnosis on Tuesday to determine the sizes of my cysts on both ovaries, after which i will have surgery by month end to remove them. I honestly do not know how I feel about both procedures but I hope for a good outcome and quick recovery. Please let me know if there's any information I'd need before going in for the diagnostic procedure on Tuesday. Thank you

How are you doing? When is your surgery? I had a lot of symptoms...mainly bloating that was painful and looked like I was pregnant for weeks and it wouldn't go away and extreme fatigue (barely functioning).

I jusy stumbled upon this one week after my laparotomy surgery. I dint have a chance to have a laparoscopic surgery since i was in so much pain and dint know what was happening in my body. I was also half awake in the surgery....that was one hectic surgery ....it was my 3rd but this one was more painful than the last 2. So far, so good but i am slowly healing. Lost my left ovary and they did cyst drilling on my right.

Hello debbie, I’m a 24 year old woman of 2. For the last 6 months ive been going throw lots of health scares. Leading me to get lots of testing done. I had a TV/US, in June, m they really couldn’t see my left ovary due to my bowel covering it. So everything looked good to them. On August I had a CT of my pelvic and abdomen for constant pain , but everything looked good only they found a 4.3 x 3.1 cm cyst on my left ovary. They described it as a normal looking cyst. Nothing of significance. But I’m completely afraid. It causes me so much back pain and severe anxiety. I’m going to get another Ultrasound just to make sure it’s a functional cyst. But I’m in complete panic mode 😞 Idk what to do.

Hi lady's on here i a 36 yr ol ive experienced ths when i was yung I've gotten it while an during high school yr after my graduation of "06" as of August got it remved styed n the hospital fr abt a week woo the pain is no joke of the lft side u to gt asked was i pregnant my answer it like i didn't notice really til tht pain hit. My pain also started on my left side too? It seems like it is often women's experience that the ovary gets affected on that side in particular?! It is very interesting. I hope you are doing okay.

Hi! I know symptoms can be different for every individual. I don't remember being extremely hungry or thirsty. But the last couple of weeks before my surgery my back started hurting a lot more, I had to go to the bathroom (number 1) more and I was losing my appetite for food. Have you made an appointment to see a doctor yet to check out and diagnose?

You’re right, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.
