Remembered about the movie today. Last time i promised myself that i will never watch it again and i failed. This is one of the most beautiful movies that i have ever watched and not going to lie, it got me crying. I love the road scenes because they look symmetrical, so the road is perfectly in the middle and it reminds me of Wes Anderson's style, simply makes me happy. And the whole story is so confusing... I love it.

Fun fact: The director of the movie said that it was River who made the whole scene for the campfire. especially the line "I love you and you don't pay me" was actually not there, but River had forgotten his lines and he said this instead and the director loved it so much he kept it in the movie. "It was River Phoenix who wanted his character to be gay, or to be in love with keanu's character. Originally the characters were both straight. River wanted there to be this affection, this love, and to have his character tell Keanu that he loved him. [smiles] Maybe he wanted to tell Keanu that..." - Gus Van Sant
