A phone with caller ID on, add all their important numbers in,family, friends, doctors etc and tell them not to answer if a name does not come up.

I have my mom set up with an answering machine and if it is important they can leave a message. My Mom writes down every number that calls her and I let her know who it is and if it is safe.

This has been goimg on for years and years at my MIL..get caller ID put on the known phone numbers..you can use a whistle when they call..or worse comes to worse change their number..her phone would ring 20 30 times a day..or they can get cell phones and disconnect the house phone for a bit

I have a I phone. I looked up how to stop spam calls....I looked for apps that might even help. But...What I found that you can make the cell phone only accept calls that are on my phone list of contacts. ALL others go to voicemail. Soon....I hardly ever get spam calls now. They still showed they called but it doesn't ring through. It should have something in your settings of the phone.

On my cell there’s option to block callers not in your contacts I love it it stopped ringing. It will show on a list but it will not ring I use iPhone so not sure the option of his

A scammer can use a different phone # and area code so they can’t be traced and they can harass you when ever they want and I know this from experience. I called the phone company and there is nothing they can do. Sorry, I wish I could help you but it is like hitting a brick wall.😊

I used to get those calls but I blocked all those numbers and any numbers listed under that number. Then I stopped answering any calls that did not have a name I recognized. Finally I hardly ever get a call from number I don't recognize. Each number had a list of other numbers under it and it took a while to select block but I finally managed

yes block them, it takes awhile because the have many different numbers....I rarely get any calls anymore you can tell mostly by area code and also it is prerecorded and your message does not mean anything....Guys...BLOCK THEM.

My cell has a Google call screening service. It asks callers to identify themselves. Scammers hang up. A few times, it has been calls from delivery drivers at the call box trying to enter the complex. It's helpful. I keep my ringer off. If I'm awake, I see the calls I want to answer. If I'm asleep, they can leave a voicemail. It's a much quieter life with the ringer being off. ❤

Is there a silence unknown caller option on their phones? If so, set it to silence the call. If it is turn it on. The caller can still leave a message. The No Call list only works for people who use it. Another option is to ask the person information like let me talk with your manager. Then request business information ( phone, address…) then tell them that you are on the no call list and are going to report the information they just gave you.

We have a private house number that's not listed in the phone book. My mom has had a private number for 50 years and she will get them from time to time. I believe our local telephone company offers a spam call feature, I believe. Call your local phone company and ask if they offer anything like that. When I was younger, family knew to let it ring twice and hang up and call back so we knew it was family calling. Just a suggestion.

The public utility commission has a “do not call” list. If somebody needs them, they will leave a voice mail build a family directly directory, also include their bank, doctors, etc, so they can answer calls they recognize

Yep, i get a doz calls a day on my cell,and i dont answer them UNLESS THEY SHOW UP WITH THE NAME I HAVE PROGRAMED INTO MY phone... Yes we unplugged our land line as well cause of it, but our cable company , the call, will show up on our T-V SCREEN as to who is calling.. HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO MAKE IT STOP AND TO GO AWAY

Like Seinfeld, just tell them you're busy and would like their name, number, and address so you can call them back. 😂 Sometimes, I answer as, "anti fraud department."

As long as they are answering calls the scammers get paid. Block the numbers in their phones. Each number individually have to be blocked. My Uncle is bad about answering. He refuses to even look at caller ID. I have had my own number call me. Just keep blocking. Go through the call list. Tell them to do not answer the first time. Have legit ring 2 times and hang up then call back.

Have the same problem. Like u I don't answer if its not on caller I'd. I would block the number once I found out it was a scam. They are using local numbers to get u to answer. If they don't leave a message on voice mail and I don't know the number I block it. There is no help. As long as there money to be made it can't be stopped

Suggestion; I don’t know if answering machine will do it and tell everyone that they have to say who it is please answer. Or can you forward the calls to your phone and if important to have him call them back. Another suggestion if available in your area google fiber stops it; we have a landline. Only 1 call gets through Sadly many of these companies are out of the country.

Perhaps write names and phone #'s with dates and times. If enough are constantly calling and you tell them that # is on do not call list...sometimes you can get the local police to help out or perhaps help you with what to do. State reps, at least here in Michigan, won't do anything saying it isn't their responsibility. Praying you can get your parents help for this!

If your parents list the name and number of every person they know in their phone it will show the name when they get a call. Any important phone call the person or doctor office will leave a voice message and they can call them back

I’m sorry your mom & dad and everyone has to put up with these nonsense phone calls yes their annoying and I just don’t answer anymore unless I know the number get caller ID for their phone and I get it my parents always thought the phone rings they have to answer it their elderly they don’t know any different I seen this one elderly lady was putting thousands of dollars in a Bitcon machine and the scammer was on the phone FaceTiming telling her to keep putting money in that she was in trouble & had to pay a large amount until another lady intervened and called the police it’s a shame hat this country has come to 🙏

Another thing to tell them when they answer DO NOT EVER SAY YES when they ask them if its so and so they are talking to even medical. Ask who is calling they hang up if its a scammer. Saying yes gives them permission to do whatever all they need is that yes. Its sad. Block all scam calls they get so they cant call back.

I receive 10-15 calls a day!!! Disgusting!!!! I have “Do Not Call! On my phone-- I block the numbers that don’t leave a message!!- I never answer the calls that aren’t in my phone book - I never say “yes” on the phone-- if I don’t know who is calling I say “ who am I speaking to!” Never say yes!! In the past when I had a stalker - I sang “ Jesus Loves Me” to him & told him how much Jesus loved him. I pay to have a phone & I didn’t agree to pay for annoying call centers to use it. 💜

Try putting there phone number on the do not call list and depending on if they have a home phone line or cell phone if it's a cell phone you can set to only get calls from whoever is in their contact list that's what I did with my own phone so I don't get spam calls no more if it's a land line maybe get a phone that has an answering machine and just tell them to let the people leave a message

Back in the day before cell phones you could use caller ID and all the numbers were listed in the phonebook. We used to have a phone that if you were not in the phone list it wouldn't ring. Can you not have the phone number display on the TV? My Aunt has that. With the NO Call List, I have heard you have to re-register every few years
