The parents just don't get it. They are the ones who are responsible for their daughter's downfall. Always putting her on a pedestal while making their younger daughter suffer from their lack of parenting. Horrible parents.

The parents couldn't care less about Maya's actual well-being, only about their own reputation and maintaining their 'perfect' facade. Awful people.

As someone who’s been in recovery for over 15 years I find their parents behavior and actions to be appalling and disturbing, and they should be ashamed of themselves for putting their image ahead of their daughter’s physical and mental health! Having to detox without the supervision of medical professionals is extremely dangerous and should only be an absolute last resort, and I know this because I had to do it! These 2 selfish cockwomble’s are textbook narcissistic sociopaths, and should be publicly condemned and shamed for what they’ve done to both of their daughters!!!!

And addict is an addict. These people this more of the reputation than anything else, the father trying to blame OP ,and them come back to demand op come home to help keep her under weaps is insane. Pray O P turns them down. These people know nothing about addiction.

My god are they crazy? This is more than any parents could ask the sibling to do as well as verbally abuse her as well

Story is fake but here are two key points from someone who lost a close relative to substances. 1. There is no such thing as shame if a family member is going through addiction. It is a call to arms to get that person help. You can deal with petty gossip another time. 2. Make sure people who need to know about the situation actually know about the situation. Don't assume they know. Communication is a must.

First ten minutes you keep asking if you should tell the story. Then, when it comes to your revenge, you start with that question, again. Just tell it already.

It's an AI story that cludges several elements of other stories together in a semi coherent fashion. There is a story that is probably real that's very similar, but it's from over a decade ago.

Lovely AI generated story …. Writer , your sister was tortured by your parents and yet you set he to be tortured by money making scheme in Arizona. “Episcopal Church Leadership Council” doesn’t exist , the stuffs in this story is dealt with by the parish priest and within congregation. A priest writing sermon attacking anyone or addressing anyone is troubling. If this is not AI generated it is fine to be English learner and second language writer writing fictional stories just “polish” them before.
