My friend lost his mom to appendicitis because his super religious dad thought god would heal her. We never did forgive him.

God helps those that help themselves

Look, God already answered our prayers. He gave us scientists, medicines, and doctors to save us from life-threatening situations. I get it that the Bible states, "Ask and you shall receive." Why can't everyone realize God already gave us these doctors and hospitals to help us? It is good to have religion, but you should ask for help either way. You have more people to help you than you realize that God has already blessed you with them. God Bless the hospitals, caregivers, and doctors for helping us survive another day.

*Don't forget about the nurses too!* Without them helping doctors, hospitals would be dangerous

@exposedshadowstruth5926 oh right. I meant everyone who studies and practices medicines is a gift from God himself.

It's nothing wrong with having faith and saying prayers. God leads us to the path he wants us to follow and none of us have the same path. Prayers does help us give our burdens to God like he wants us to and getting treatment for illness might be the way he wants us to go. We just need to follow his will.

True love is unconditional. Christ proved it by the way He lived. He gave love and kindness to those who otherwise didn't deserve it. Prime in example, Matthew. Matthew was a tax collector in the time of the Roman Empire in Israel. His own people viewed him as someone who was unworthy of love and kindness. Jesus showed love and kindness to Matthew and called Matthew to follow Him. That's unconditional love. Faith is spiritual related. Leukemia is not spiritual but physical. Physical illness needs physical healing. Spiritual illness needs spiritual healing. What Sarah had in this story was Leukemia. Leukemia is physical, not spiritual. Chemo is better suited for Leukemia. Prayer is for their spiritual well-being. This may piss off people, but everyone is spiritually ill but most of us don't want to ask for spiritual healing for were too stubborn to admit that we need help. God bless.

It's not religion, it's ignorance and fanaticism. I don't know why, since religious people believe God creates everything and everyone, people like this can't see that God created people who are smart enough and talented enough to create healing therapies. The doctors and scientists are created by God, right? So why don't they realize that these very people and treatments ARE the way that God answered their prayers?

It's not about God it's about their obsession over religions that's what it's making it so twisted. The prayers should be accompanied with actions not just not doing anything stupidly.

12:00 - Nope. Nope, nope, nope.. can't watch the rest of this. If she's underage then her parents can deny her life saving treatment in the name of their stupid, stupid religion. Utter madness. I'm all for engaging in challenging works of fiction, but this story I know to be all too close to reality. Peace out.
