GOOD EVENING AXOLOTS how are you all doing this fine morning, glad your day was terrible anyways, I have come out of the dark woods to bring you your once in a blue moon meal, you are welcome. This one showcases my parents and how they met because I thought it was really interesting when my mum showed it to me B) it's also cool to see how different cultures go with the wedding stuff yeehaw hawyee
hopefully you guys can read because it's 80% in #subtitles but listen here fella I tried to dub over everything myself and the result was an even more Walmart version of the squid game English dubs, and I don't think any of us would like to see that arrive in the light of DAY
with that being said, I just wanted to leave this here as a lil tribute to my parents. hope u all have a swell one anD I PROMISE THERE WILL BE MORE CONSISTENT UPLOADS SOON TRUST ME BRO

This reminds me of looking thru my grandparents’ albums and pictures from when they started dating late 50’s early 60’s. They fell in love when they were only 14, and after a brief intermission in their relationship during college they got back together and were married for over 40 years, right up until grandma’s death last year. Crazy looking back on their pictures from when they were young and seeing just how good looking and bright they were…way more impressive than me ;-;

They met on the "arcos da lapa" it's in Rio de Janeiro if you wanna look up. That about what I know. I think it's a pretty romantic location to met the love of your life. Also if you count that all of my parents friends that got married around the same time had divorced along the years it's really a love story. I love my parents and I ever will

My parents never write love letters, but they do pass notes to each other on scrap paper and apparently my mom kept everything. So it'd be like.... my dad's handwriting, then my mom's handwriting below it, and so on and so forth The most memorable note I've read though was from 2 papers, which was a scrap phonebill paper and a scrap ticket On the back of the phonebill is written Mom: my mom will be mad though Dad: no worries, it's just one day trip Mom: but it's pretty far away Dad: I'll arrange everything, let's take a bus so it'll be quicker And on the scrap ticket Dad: I'm so sorry, this is my fault Mom: no worries dear, this is my fault too. I'll cover for you so that my mom won't scold you too much Dad: still though, I promised to take care of it.. I didn't calculate it'll take us till midnight Mom: it's fine love. I had fun too. We should do it again So basically my mom and dad planned a secret date with each other on another city, took a bus ride till midnight, then got found out and scolded by my grandma while STILL passing notes to each other. What the fuck.

My mom and dad were arranged marriage , not to be rude , but they don't have much love and they had such big fights that they were about to divorce 6 years ago but they stopped and even last year they had a serious fight with each other , my mom herself said that there were no lovey dovey moments in their marriage , they don't have a love story or sorts of things like love letters or such , I never bring up these topics about love and all , because , to be fair , it would just end up in a very serious conversation and making them both feel awkward, dry and sad , so watching this was a very amazing feeling to me. ( I'm an Indian) . I mentioned my nationality because then it would be easier to make sense out of my story , why my parents lived this way and are still living this way etc. , Most of the stories of Indian arranged marriage or married couples in general are like this.

Im also brown and my parents had assisted marriage. This means that their parents used Jathagam(hindu equivalent of Feng Shui) and match made my parents. But my parents could still choose to say no But since they didn't know any life other than "get married and have kids" they js did. Ma has told me very few stories of her romance with Pa. She says he wasnt rly a gentleman and still had misoginistic traits that he held on to from the village he grew up in(my mum grew up in Singapore as it was starting to develop) Yeh she says nothing has changed in the past 25 yrs. Maybe he has taken to doing 1 or 2 more chores but yeh ive never seen or heard them being genuinely romantic with each other Its weird cuz my grandparents had a similar marriage style but they are really romantic. My grandad kissed my grandma on a bday and my grandma cries when he goes to the hospital and shes without him. I still would never want assisted to arranged marriage gosh.

This reminds me of when I was little I would ask so many questions to my mom, she always answered them so happily! It was really fun just learning about her past. I still do ask her questions when my siblings aren't surrounding her when it's just her and me. Good times. :D (and looking in photo albums it's also a blast! They have so many pictures and they are still adding more.)

Youngsters love in the past were much more pure, there are no crazy materialistic stuff like fancy dinners, oversea high society beach holidays, fancy cars, fancy gadgets, expensive gifts, plastic surgeries, no comparing on who has the most glamorous life. The good times have long gone from us, thanks to the poisonous media that poison us to consume consume and consume. Thanks to Falines family for sharing their life story, which reminds us back to our roots on what is pure love and happiness, and what should be really matters in life.

Real talk though, Faline Mami is so right, relationships take work and those complaints need to be said. Maybe if they hadn't talked about the things they didn't like about each other, they never would have known and made it to today❤
