My Parents travel to ALBANIA! Visiting the beautiful village Theth | Journey Albania

After much planning, my parents finally made it to Albania!
For their first stop in Albania, Fiori and I brought them from Tirana to the northern mountain village, Theth. Theth is about five hours north of Tirana, and on our way, we were sure to stop at Rozafa Castle in Shkodra. Theth is one of my favorite places in Albania - it has a really interesting history, as well as some astonishing views of the surrounding Albanian Alps.
I hope that this video will provide you with useful information for how to get to Theth, activities you can do there, and must-visit places within the village. We first made our way to the Lock-In Tower (or Defense Tower), which you should definitely visit to hear about the 'Kanun' and the history of the northern highlands of Albania. The next day, we made our way to Syri i Kalter - the Blue Eye of Theth. This requires a short (but bumpy) drive, followed by a short hike.
In the next video, my parents and I will continue our journey in the north with a hike from Theth to Valbona!

It's not diffult. There are private vans that go there for tourism

It’s quite warm! In July it’s usually 25-30C (75-85F), though the snow from the winter just takes a long time to melt :)

If you're going during a weekend in the summer, I'd recommend booking at least a couple of weeks before. However there are usually places available.. just the more popular ones tend to get booked quicker :)
