I told my parents I could FIX their DAMAGED and POTHOLED driveway and they were extremely SKEPTICAL! But I rented a Harley Rake for the weekend and TOTALLY TRANSFORMED their driveway! We also moved and spread almost 80 TONS of stone to resurface it as well! They were SHOCKED with the results!

Delighted to hear you stand up to the haters. The veil of anonymity the internet provides give cowards the boldness to shout and belittle through their keyboard that they can't even think of doing with their voice. Good for you to stand strong! Getting time to use a piece of gear that you are still getting comfortable using is always time well spent. Great job. Oliver is just a bit of a the thing, but cuteness by the bucket load!! 😊

First and foremost...I am a 70 year old man who has been running tractors since I was 8. You are rock solid on the way to learn how to use equipment sir. If you aren't running the machine but watching, there is simply no way to learn. You HAVE to sit behind the wheel. I have run things I had never seen before, and the only way to use them is - well - use them. Mistakes may happen (most assuredly will happen) but that is how we learn. It takes a bit to learn, but without doing it all you can do is wish in one hand...LOVE your videos. Makes me wish I was young again, so I could get some of the things you own and get out there and do it!

You are ALWAYS LEARNING on a daily basis. When one stops learning, one dies. The world is full of knowledge to learn & share. Helpful/friendly tips welcome, troll comments are not welcomed or taken seriously. Already have a leg up on me. I don't have a track loader. I use my Kubota tractor to grade driveways, mow or till gardens. I would love a track loader & excavator to expand into heavier mow jobs or small land clearing.

That is one of the hardest attachments to learn how to use/get comfortable with. I have a few hundred hours on the power rake (primarily on a mini-skid steer but about 100 hrs on the Takeuchi TL12) - but, once you get the hang of it, what you can do is unbelievable. I personally prefer the mini-skid over the full size as I like to use the power rake going backwards, I fell like I can control it much better and that is difficult to do in a full size machine. Great Job!

There are proper techniques to operate anything. Haters will always hate anyone else who succeeds. The Harley rake does have many uses, and doing a driveway like that is a prime example. The front guage caster wheels are needed to make the job faster and with less uneven places. I use one frequently and it was designed to save time and give a level beautiful job of laying material out evenly. And you are BTW experience is the best teacher, but remember folks already with it, can surely help with tips to speed up your proficiency. Great Job,

Don’t worry about the negative comments. I would like to see some of them with your brush chipper and see them keep up. The thing I learned with rake is to dig out those potholes. Just smoothing them out looks nice but the stone won’t stay in if you don’t take the pothole completely out. Every rake you rent is broken. I have had to wait a day while the genuses at the rental yard try to fix it.

Mike at Dirt Perfect has a lot of experience with what he has the Rukus Rake and he would probably give you some advice on it Gavin! Just saying it’s looking good just keep taking material from the sides of the driveway throwing it towards the middle and then spread it in the end so the crown isn’t too high brother! Hope everything goes well my friend! My thoughts are just cut the potholes out because you know they’ll come back!
