Another very, very honest review. Look forward to seeing you do some other companies as well.

Appreciate the straightforward review. Will be sticking with MREs until I can find a better transportable option.
@RedbeardPreppingАй бұрын
@@TWP13 have you ever looked into Ration bars? They’re very calorie dense and easily transportable. Usually have a 5-10 year shelf life and they can handle unideal temp swings that spoils other foods.

Waiting on your recommendations, I need a video on building a good bucket.
@RedbeardPreppingАй бұрын
@@mikedriver6560 hey Mike, If you care about weight, build a bucket with rice and beans in Mylar and then throw in some #10 cans of freeze dried meat, fruits, and veggies. If your on a budget, replace the freeze dried stuff with canned goods. So far, keystone meats appears to be one of the best options for canned meat.

What do you recommend for freezdried options?
@RedbeardPrepping2 ай бұрын
@@evan3178 mountain house and peak are great options, if your looking for a VERY clean brand, Heathers choice is one of the cleanest companies. I plan on doing video reviews of them in the future.

i didnt like no meal plans with it
@RedbeardPrepping2 ай бұрын
I guess that didn’t bother me personally, most of the meals you could eat as a standalone dish. I just wish there would be some meats included. It’s a very high price for essentially rice and Mac’n cheese in a bucket.

I got about 15 of the buckets to store if SHTF. But i also have mountain house packets, peak fuel, MREs and my regular can/canned goods. I would say get some of the buckets but dont spend all your saving on them. The main reason i like them is the 30 year shelf life and the ones i have tried aint bad but its not a chefs gourmet dish either..

@@michaelbaumann42 when your just starting out it’s a convenient way to go. I bought these when I first started but knowing what I know now I woulda gone a different route. But at the end of the day they still give you some peace of mind.
