VHS and DVD are supposed to be video releases aka physical media, so when you say the word “print,” it should only refer to the paper with the artwork, logos, and text used for the videos’ cases because print means paper.

I love Charlie Brown the peanuts specials were a childhood favorite of mine The fact that the specials got away with providing a deep meaning under its slice of life nature is pure gold Plus snoopy and Woodstock are funny

So, the same artwork versions are used for Great Pumpkin and Christmas (Linus in the pumpkin patch and Charlie Brown with his small Christmas tree), but different artwork versions of Snoopy for Thanksgiving (dressed as a pilgrim and as a chef with a roast turkey).

One Peanuts holiday special that only has a VHS release from Paramount is Happy New Year, Charlie Brown, and a fun fact is that it was released at the beginning of 1986, and I was born at the beginning of 1999, which meant I was born approximately 13 years after that special was made.

Did you actually know that the two theatrical Peanuts movies weren’t released on DVD and Blu-ray for a long time due to how poorly they both did in theaters that Paramount only released them on VHS like twice.

That’s really cool! I have two homemade VHS tapes of “Peanuts” TV specials recorded on 2 TDK EHG VHS tapes which contains 14 episodes each. Tape 2 has 13 more episodes including an hour long episode called “A Charlie Brown Celebration” with the opening introduction by creator Charles Schultz. In addition, I have a few “Peanuts” albums on vinyl. Including the soundtrack to “A Boy Named Charlie Brown” from 1970 on the Columbia Masterworks label, and 4 more albums which were put out on the Charlie Brown Record label, a subsidiary of Disneyland in which Disneyland/Buena Vista Records acquired the recording rights to many of the “Peanuts” TV specials that were put out on vinyl including the “Storyteller” series and the “Read-Along” book & record/tape sets including “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, “Charlie Brown All-Stars”, “He’s Your Dog, Charlie Brown” and “You’re In Love, Charlie Brown”. The only “Peanuts” album that I might be getting is the “Storyteller” edition of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” to complete my collection. And as you probably know, Charlie Brown Records was a record label, and it was also a subsidiary of Disneyland/Buena Vista Records from 1977 through 1984.

I got a Chinese bootleg set of the Pony Canyon Japanese Peanuts DVDs I got a thrift store for $5 or so. It had 10+ dvds with alot of specials (probably over 15+), the Chinese copy I had the original English dub, a Japanese dub & a hilarious added Chinese dub (you can hear background hissing from the mic lol). If you can track yourself that set (either bootleg or legit Pony Canyons if you can still get them) its really a solid box set.
