Some of my favorite cold wallets are the Keystone Pro 3, Tangem, and ColdCard MK4. They each have unique features that I really like. But I gotta be honest, the SafePal X1 comes closets to my perfect cold wallet. It’s so close to taking the best features of my favorite 3 and rolling them into one perfect device! Get rid of the Bluetooth, add a QR camera instead, maybe a color display, a second security element, and call it day lol. The physical number buttons are so much more useful and practical for entering passcodes, especially long ones, than D-pad controls or touchscreens. With touchscreens being relatively small on these devices I almost always accidentally hit a wrong number when entering my passcode. And fingerprint scanners almost always require multiple attempts. Also, almost everybody that sees my SafePal X1 or ColdCard assume it’s a cheap little calculator. That’s exactly what I want them to think!!! The less like a smart phone it looks like the less attention it gets.

Kind of answered my question. Do you use the Keystone one for your safekeep then use the Tangem for transactions on the daily. I’m currently using a nano X and I want to jump ship. do you have a specific video to show taking your crypto from San nano X and transferring it to the keystone? What’s the title of it? I’m new to crypto and I understand how to do the Nano.X - so now I have to get comfortable with a new one. I don’t want to goof the transition.

The video you’ve already watched about how to transfer crypto to a hardware wallet shows you how. It’s literally the same process regardless of the wallet you’re using

If you do not have a Touchscreen, you don't need such a large Screen. I am looking for a Wallet that is cheap and works with different Software, like Sparrow or Wasabi.... I like the Trezor Safe 3. Small and lightweight with a good durability is for me important!
@stevolanddownunder35498 ай бұрын
It's pity trezor got caught out with data breach as well now.
@cyberscrilla8 ай бұрын
Agreed they need to get their sh*t together. To be clear the breach wasn’t Trezor directly, however it did affect Trezor users as potentially malicious emails were sent to certain users. There was unauthorized access to the third-party support portal Trezor uses. This breach occurred at the level of that third-party service provider they are currently engaged with.

Hi, is there any hardware wallet available which supports Lightning Bolt network too, to deposit BTC? 😊
@cyberscrilla8 ай бұрын
Not that I know of no. The Lightning Network is not intended for large sums of money, and can not provide the same security as your hardware wallet, so it should be reserved for bitcoin that you plan to spend. It can help to think of your hardware wallet as your bank account, where you keep your savings, and your Lightning wallet as the wallet where you keep your cash (that you want to spend).

Pheonix Wallet, runs on your phone. You cannot have a cold wallet run Lightning because you have to stay online. If Tangem wallet could add LN it would be ideal. Best of both worlds then.

Hi Scrilla I thinking of getting a Keystone Pro for staking on top of my Tangem. I have a question that has been bugging me please? I have been using Keplr for a while now to stake my Cosmos tokens. If I connected that wallet to my Keystore is that safe or do I need to set up a fresh Keplr and start from scratch? Once connected to my current Keplr are my funds safe in Keystore?
@cyberscrilla7 ай бұрын
You want to create a new wallet using keystone, then connect that to your hot wallet. This way your private key/seed phrase is stored on the cold wallet.

Do you recommend a user having a hardware wallet specifically for dapps and one that isn’t connected to anything?

Yes I do recommend that. You can use a cold wallet or hot wallet for your burner wallet (the wallet you connect to dapps).
