such a big difference seeing gradient lenses on a real glass lens as opposed to a plastic/polycarbonate lens. Love the look of the 649's with the gradient lenses at 1:00 Really going to try to snag me a pair of Persols here soon. I bought my last pair of sunglasses 6 years ago for a bit over $100 - I don't even know the brand name but they've held up really well with only minor scratches on the lenses even with some pretty heavy duty use. I used to go through cheaper $60-80 pairs of sunglasses yearly, so I figure it's much better to buy a high end pair that you will love, baby, and enjoy for many years than to get some fast fashion poor quality sunglasses that will break or scratch very quickly.

Meflecto for the win. Persol is the only Luxottica brand I’ll wear. While most brands go to Luxottica to die, they won’t allow their flagship brand to dip in quality too much. Just have to be sure to get a pair with the technology IMO because the meflecto system is what makes them worth it.

Persol are my favourite brand many models are beautifully designed and manufactured. The level is way above many prominent brands. We'll worth the money and to have in a collection. The new limited edition of 200 is a must. I hope you can review it for us.

Is the 1st pair of 649s with a PhP purple-brownish lense? If it is, thats really rare and probably the best lense my eyes have looked through! Phenomenal collection btw.

great collection. Did you notice that the 714 SM also have a differently shaped temple? I prefer the shape of the SM's: they are thicker and more parallel vs. the regular 714.

Amazing collection. You are just missing the terminator 2 model, which I think is the 58230, but I know you don't like wraparounds that much and they are pretty similar to Ray Ban's Predator 2. Cheers!

Like you am a big fan of Persol having 714SM, 649 etc. And also like you am a fan of Randolph Engineering metal frames such as Aviator, Concord etc. I am considering Persol 2477 metal aviators that I see nothing on the internet about them. Wondering if you have any experience and or thoughts on the Persol 2477s sunglasses?

If you are such a fan of the 649's, you should probably buy a new pair of 649's made out of natural horn. I believe it's called PO0649CO. It looks way better than a normal pair in person.
