I never knew people hand raised birds like this. we recently came into bringing a few week old sparrow into our home..and he is awesome. we are eye dropper feeding. I never thought to look on you tube for answers. I recently put a reptile heater in his cage to keep him warm and he is loving it. he is the happiest little bird.

Lovely story. My sparrow is five months old (we found him when he was just one day old) and has a similar temperament to yours. Sweet, but controlling and bossy.

You can save a bird and have it become tame some can be released but a lot of hand fed sparrows stay with you,they were not raised in the wild so me personally don't think its safe but my sparrow is a cute bird and scared of weird things so I don't think he would survive outside alone

OK give me a tip I have a 4 week old and she is darling but soooo time consuming she wants me all the time,and what kind of nest do I make her,the little turd wants to sleep on my chest I have beds in her cage she refuses to sleep on them or in them I've tried everything she just perches and screams for me,plus I do cat rescues soi have limited space I have a good size bathroom with a window I let her frollic in!can you give me any pointers on the bedding!

Hello I just recently rescued a sparrow! Her name is Faith and she cannot fly so she can't be returned to the wild I don't think. Anyway, what do you feed your sparrow? And how do you properly care for it

I fed my bird dried dog food that I softened in water and a cockatiel baby food mixture but mine was a baby depends on your birds age.

Hi i found a baby sparrow 3 1/2 to 4 days ago i call him Gimli hes doing good do i need to give him grit? he has just started to fly a little i give him white millet/wild bird seed and budgie seed i gave him a blueberry yesterday but was not to keen is there any other advice you can give me?. my partner wants me to set him free soon which will break my heart, oh i also chopped up dried mealworm that he wasn't keen on either at the moment anyway. thank you ;-)

Wight Queen ,does he have feathers even a nestling needs goog food if its not ready for seeds or worms may not like them,I get dry cat food its cat chow minerals and you let it soak in warm water to where it gets mushy add a little bit more water if needed to where it looks like a thick soup draw it up in a syringe or hand feed it the chunky stuff if he's ready for that,my bird loves it!

I have a sparrow that is about 3 weeks old he flies as high as he can get do you trim your birds wings? Mine is hard to keep up with lol what do you feed yours?... I also have a starling he is awesome
