We had a 74 Riv when I was a kid but not a GS stage 1. Drove it to my high school prom. I was cruising in style. Really comfortable family car and that 455 engine could put it down.

I have a 1973 GS Stage 1 car. Cruise control AC 8 track. Auto leveling option too. Posi with rear sway bar Air cleaner has the dual air let’s and chrome air cleaner lid. 73 and 74 GS have Gold Letters on the GS emblem.

I had a 73 Riv GS in 1983, my high school buddy had a 73 GS which is like a Century or Regal, my Riv was heavier, I could never catch him, his name was Otto, North Bergen NJ 1983

I had the same car in 1981 , '74 Riviera GS Stage1 Landau -dark burgundy,white roof, red/white bucket seat interior.

My dad had the 73 Riviera GS Stage 1. It was the last year with a mild boat tail. His had a Sunroof, fully equipped, very much like this 1, but, a beautiful blue.lampmoniters, VOGUE tyres, etc. When 76 came, the 455 wasn't the same. He went to Caddy Eldorado with 500cid with fuel injection. 215hp & 400lbft torque. GM made gr8 cars but, the engines were destroyed by government

I saw one 20 years ago that was converted into a convertible and they did a such a good job that it looked like the factory did it. It was a 1974 Buick Riviera that was triple black.

Most likely a 74 caprice is where the convertible top came from since that car also has a 122 inch wheel base .

I have a 1975 Riviera I bought for $305 and still need the side window trim that discolors and disintegrates over time. I have seen curving plastic trim at Grainger but not sure if that will sustain over time.
