2:50 no it didn't copy from souls, some if not a fair bit of the modes/events of afk journey are from afk arena. Souls and other games copied from it, after it got big ( afk arena ).

Yeah, exactly. Afk arena is something else, still rocking after almost 6 years, its unique to me, still playing now along with afk journey & looking forward to more characters from afk arena to appear in a 3d way in afk journey.

Sadly. They really are greedy. You’ll know greed when it capitalized on equipment than other content from the game. And there are too many better suggestions they are ignoring.

This is my first habby game so dont know about future updates, but I think mythic gear is a nice addition , my real issue are the artifacts, the % drop is really low and the craft system is awful. They say 20* is the max and dont plan to increase it for now, I hope they keep it like this for at least a year, so we can use the event to farm gear (I mean embers and artifacts chest), as a F2p you spend all your currency on units and Soul stones.

The higher rarity are sure good. Problem comes when they start to introduce the 2 higher grades after mythic. They’re colored rainbow. Those items are almost impossible to hit by crafting. Image the requirements. They say this and do the opposite, that’s Habby for you.

I don't really mind about increasing stars.... Since even free player can max star, yeah i liked old advanced arena, im also looking forward to HoA, dice event,and as for pet i really hope they didn't ruin it since getting pet means a means for pushing levels especially for stucked players since it can give huge come back .... And for mythic equipment they added extra stats eg: for mythic helmet & weapon extra state which is one more attack

I recently quit the game… just got boring and repetitive. BTW, almost all games in this genre get inspiration from each other. I played Idle heroes in 2018-2020, and I can tell you, this game has almost 1:1 copies of features in that game. Like Secret Sacrum is very very similar to a feature called Brave Trial in Idle heroes. Same with the advanced arenas, ancestral tomb, etc. I gotta say the monetization of these games almost always spell their own downfall. Adding new heroes and equipment is just the easiest and most profitable. Souls is in its early stages so it’s still fresh, exciting, and F2P friendly. It’s just a matter of time before things go sour as they have to add those things to add more “content” and get more money. :(

I couldn’t agree more. I love gacha games like arknights because it doesn’t really rely on equipments or upgrades. All you’ll ever need is 1 copy of a hero which is obtainable to a banner which you can save on. No equipment ever needed. Just pure strategy.

@AirPeds Yeap. %attack for the weapon, %defense for the helmet, %hp for the armor and xspeed for the boots. Just confirmed on the biggest whale on my server.

I agree, too invested in this game to quit now, i just hope the pets wont ruin it. p.s for you to have an idea about the mythic gear stats, just go to the advanced arena and click on the top 3 players there, they probably have mythic gear which you can click on. Just to give u an idea, the stat boost are insane, its like having the stat of an epic rune (i.e. mythic weapons gives an attack percentage that is on par with onslaught epic rune)

AFK Journey released its permanent ptr servers since April of last year and content has remain fairly the same. So it's been out longer than souls global release and I doubt they copied them.

How can you save summons so much? Where do you get souls for progress? Only from grinding shops souls? Do you save the race summons too? What do you think, which and when the next event we get, where we can summon?

I don’t summon them all at once. I just summon the until I hit my target. I get Soul stones from afk rewards, tower of souls and tomb of undead. I don’t really buy them. I save race summons too. I summon them both only during events for extra mission rewards. We can only summon duting Souls Carnival and Honor of Arena.

@@SpordiMati i hate gambling in general. So I don’t gamble my progress in summoning. I summon only when there’s benefits. 🤭 That’s the reason I caught up to the dolphins in my server. I don’t even spend gems in summoning ever.

if anything Souls copied AFK Journey (because AFK Arena was there for years). I'm also debating switching, theres so much thats 0 fun for me in Souls, for example: Dimensional Rifts (picking the cards having super long and boring battles), having to watch arena matches that take an eternity if you cant rush the healer / richelle (i know i can quit the game and restart but come on), having to switch equipment from like 5 heroes per boss in the Cave of the Abyss. And I have 0 interest in the guild battles. Prob just a Gacha that was fun for 2 months and never looked back at for me.

On point! Dimensional Rift is shit. The 6x speed is greedy as fuck. Switching equipment needs a damn quality of life improvements. Guild war is shit lmao. I agree the game needs a hell of a lot of quality of life improvements and they pretty much bluntly said “No” to the Letter to the Developers the top 100 guilds made. 😅 Habby is just crap. Which makes me worry so much.

Exactly, souls copied almost all the things from afk arena which is running for more than 5 years now, I still play that game but with less activeness after afk journey launch, both of those games are by far the best ever that I have played.

I tried AFK Journey and didn't like very much. As most gachas, the first few days will be the best, no doubt about it, but as time pass every game stalls into a routine. I agree that some events are not enticing, but as you said, F2P or even dolphins need to have a long run mindset, or they will just get demotivated and stop playing.

I’m still in the process of understanding afk journey. It’s like too much info all at once lmao. I don’t find it as fun as Souls, but I’m giving it probably a week so I can decide. What I like about Souls is its simplicity. I’m aware about the staleness of every gacha game but there are ways to fix them through events or other contents. Sadly, what we got in Souls is a Benzel Nerf in shop. It sucks lmao

I wonder if AFK journey is worth it. It just seems like you need to invest so much time to play it. Why even call something AFK if it's not.. Now to SOULS. Honestly, I like this game. It's fine as it is and I like that we can beat those a lot stronger than us. It just says that the hero comp is important. As I've heard from others, paying for the game and increasing the VIP lvl gives really good benefits. So there's that aspect for giving them money.

Oh yeah. Very true, the game is time consuming. Haha. I used to whale on games and then found a different kind of fun in f2p gaming. You get to focus more on being efficient and exhaust every strat your roster can offer. It gets rewarding when you start punishing giga whales. The chuckles and giggles are so worth it. 🤭
