Good call on its erratic behaviour and bringing it down in one piece. Cheers Andy

😱lucky escape. I did see the gap In fuselage as you picked it up!. Holding up elevator obviously pushed the gap shut . Sabre looks great in the air . Nice walk down memory lane , Vas 👍

I will add a Sabre to my fleet eventually. Nice flying buddy

@BMSRC-im6qe it's a great jet. I feel it combines the characteristics of a viper with that of a warbird. Very relaxing to fly. Cheers Andy

You weren't losing elevator, your elevator was less effective because your fuselage was flexing downward during flight because it wasn't properly glued by the last person that owned it.

Loving your landings. Question - does the timer just work on seconds or estimate a time based on throttle settings? GA aircraft have a rule of landing gear up on anything that isn't a runway or road. Less chance of injury.
@aussiercairspace4 ай бұрын
Thank you. 😎 I run a throttle timer and any throttle input above 10% will start the timer. When I'm at idle, it pauses. I also run a second timer simultaneously, but it's a stopwatch and this one doesn't pause when I go to idle. This one is my total flight time. It's especially useful for some of my gliders or wings that can fly around without throttle for minutes at a time. So even though I have 4 or 5min set on my throttle, I can sometimes get double that or more in flight time. Hope that makes sense. 😊

THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T BUY THIS MODEL TOO MANY ISSUES AFTER RESEARCHING 😊
@aussiercairspace4 ай бұрын
There's really no major issues with it at all. If it was glued together properly, this would never have happened, and the gear not dropping was only because grass had jammed it on take off, which is no fault of the plane. I really like this plane and aside from being an older model that isn't as easy to put together or as well thought out as the more modern FW models, there's nothing wrong with the F-86 Sabre.

@@aussiercairspace DO SOME RESEARCH YOU WILL UNDERSTAND
@aussiercairspace4 ай бұрын
I don't need to do research, I owned the plane for a couple of years and put a heap of flights on it without issue. And even the guy I sold it to hasn't had any issues. If the plane was as bad as you're saying, I would've noticed and so would the new owner who I'm friends with. LoL. I'm not sure what research you're doing, but after owning one I can confirm that this plane is totally fine. In fact, I may get another later this year since they now have a better power system and are even faster and more efficient. 🙂

@@aussiercairspace I've been flying one of these Freewing F86s for at least three years now and have had no issues with it. It's an awesome jet, if anything did happen I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
