I got very lucky on the Sly 3 with glasses. I completely forgot it had glasses and then only realised after I was 5 hours away from the shop. But to my surprise, it actually had them in good condition. I was well chuffed :). Great video. Very nice PS2 collection. Lots and lots of quality. But still much more out there. Great thing about the PS2.

Played through Shadow of the Colossus last Summer and it really is an unique game and many people felt this way but I had a sense of guilt & regret whenever you defeated a colossus since they did nothing wrong. I get where you're coming from with Silent Hill 4 in that is your favourite but not the most beloved in the series. I have that with Donkey Kong Country 3 in the DKC series. Great collection of games and I have a lot of the same games. Okami is my personal favourite PS2 game and in my top 5 favourite games of all time. Beautiful visuals & soundtrack to coincide with the Zelda-esque gameplay. Was a bit on the easy side (didn't die once) but I loved my time with it.

Darro85 Yes, I believe that was the aim of the makers of Shadow of the Colossus. Did you finish it? The ending is especially powerful.

finngamer Yes I did finish it and I had an idea where the story will end up and I was right in a way but it doesn't make it less powerful because of that. People want to see the next game from this team and the fact we haven't seen anything since 09/20 pretty much are making fans doubt if it is still in development despite the endless "we are still working on it" comments from Yoshida and the like. I need to play Ico, which I will be doing on the PS3 (the version of SOTC I played) since a lot of people love that game also.

The strategy guide that comes with Myst 3 only covers the first level. Probably a good idea to guide the player a little bit so they don't get annoyed five minutes into the game because they don't know what to do :) Definitely a nice collection you have there but of course a PS2 collection is never really complete xD

Very true! With about 3870 titles released you're crazy to even try! Admittedly half of these are trash including sport titles, but I reckon there is probably 800 better titles to collect for! I have around 500 (too many to count) with a want list of 160 (was 145 prior to this video - thanks mate)! Most of these can be picked up for candy prices, but there are still several expensive games going for the £30-£50 mark which compared to their original retail price or cost of a new game today isn't that bad! Certainly cheaper than many rare Nintendo games, and so the PS2 is still a great system to collect for, that many people can afford to get into! Finding the time to play all these however is another problem - but still pick them up now whilst you can I say, as it's only time before the better games become like PS1 titles and become harder to find in the wild complete and unsoiled!

They kept the tradition they started with original PlayStation, only flipped the colors. PS3 on the other hand is mixed bag here, some have black on white, some white on black and some have proper art, but yeah for us PS2 games' spines are supposed to look like that, for better or worse.

What would you say about .HACK GU games that didn't make it to EU? Would you collect those as well even though they aren't pal?

+dkmorbid otaku They're interesting titles, so yeah, I'd pick them up if I saw them out in the wild. But I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them off eBay or anything. But if you're a fan, go ahead and get them even though you couldn't play them. :)

finngamer You could play them with emulator(as most are doing) but it's mostly for sentimental reasons and future value I would get them(factory sealed ones ofc..quality over quantity).I'm from EU but i'm still looking to getting US/NTSC games since there isn't a FFXII collectors eddition PAL version,there isn't the hack games,and the DQVIII EU box is just ugly compared to the US one and doesn't include the FFXII demo so It's much inferior.Not to mention i would want Dragon Warrior VII for the PS1 and there isn't a pal version of that either.So why bother with pal/EU games at all the collection would just look silly on the shelf...What do you think?
