7% degradation at ~40K km right? I say a bit higher than I'm comfortable with, if you watch Teslas are degrading
@MrEfection Жыл бұрын
This test isn’t accurate because the car is not 2 years old yet. It’s too early. Every HV battery has to do a number of cycles in order to provide an accurate result. I did 40k km in less than 1.5 yrs. I’ll test more Taycans with more km and years of ownership to compare the tests, thank you si much!

I think that if the taycan was charged with the limiter at 200kw on dc where it will be charged 80% at the same time as an EQS,i7 or model s it would only degrade by 4-5%, but those charging sessions at 80 % in just 20 minutes, indeed it affects the battery very badly, as it exceeds the temperature of 50C in the battery for a long time, but in the end that's cool about the taycan, because you can take short breaks on a long road trip like with a gas car

@@victorc.979 i don’t really think its my case because I charged a handful times at 300 kW. Those 2 trips only.
@victorc.979 Жыл бұрын
@@MrEfection Well, yes, but think about it, when you went to Budapest you charged 3 times at 270kw stations, and on the recent trip ~15 times at 270kw, which is something, also from what I know , you charge quite often at 150kw, but that doesn't really affect the battery

Another reason why the degradation can be higher than teslas is the much higher recuperation. Maybe there is a comparable stress for HV battery like charging the car on a HPC. Just a thought.

I noticed that in one of your other videos you mentioned regularly charging to 100%. Would you still recommend that advice or do you regret that decision now? Would love to know your thoughts.

Hey! Good catch! I’m regularly charging to 100% because I immediately drive 250 km afterwards. Let’s say I charge to 100% 2 times per month because I need every percentage. When I’m not traveling, I limit the charging to 85% and never below 15-10%. My battery routine is normal I would say. I would blame the “lower” percentage on the low km and very “new” MY. My friend with a Taycan Turbo got 95% after 100.000km and similar charging behaviour. It will be interesting if this value will increase or decrease at the next milestone which will be 75.000km.

Useless Test, you can read all of it from OBD for free
@MrEfection Жыл бұрын
If you read from the OBD you will get inaccurate data, I already showed you that SoH from the manufacturer is 90,81%, and measured is 93,2 in not friendly conditions. And it is not free, Porsche will charge you 100 euros.
