I’m not of African heritage or a black person, but I really appreciate Beyoncé making this album, I love to see people being proud of their culture and flaunt their pride for their heritage in their artistry , celebrating who they are to show that they aren’t ashamed of what history deemed them to be. Fam Dj Lag is too young to be one of the founders pf Gqom. Sure he is definitely one of the people who got it to where is is now, but gqom existed long before he came to the scene. There were old gees like rudeboys who were pushing gqom close to 15 years ago.

@@godsson1892 I can't claim to have been aware of Gqom from the time of its roots, but from Wikipedia: Gqom is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 2010s from Durban, South Africa,[1] pioneered largely by producer DJ Lag,[2][3][4] Rudeboyz,[2][5][6][7] Griffit Vigo, Dominowe[8] and Citizen Boy.[9][10]
