11:03 pretty much spot on about us luton fans, just getting to the PL with a record transfer fee of 1.3 mil feels like an achievement we couldn't top and only makes us more excited for our future in the championship with parachute payments when we eventually go back down. every weekend in the PL will feel like a cup final, and I don't think a single luton fan that has been around for our rise to the top could ever be disappointed by the end of the season. it's only going to get better from here and that's something we haven't been able to say for a very long time

Never doubt Luton, historically a big mistake. We're not guaranteed relegation by any means. Survival seemed impossible when we went to the championship, turns out we were only at risk of relegation once, play-offs twice, and comfortable twice. We had one of the lowest average possessions last season, yet we were promoted, showing we can score and defend without the ball, whereas promoted teams like Burnley that get promoted using a possession-based style of play will have to adapt how they play to suit the premier league. We won't have to. Our defence was the best in the second-half of the season, and our team is THE most physical of the promoted teams, we can out-run and out-muscle most premier league teams if we want to. Not to mention there are some teams (Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Wolves, Sheffield) that have many more reasons to struggle than we do.

I got a feeling that Bournemouth are going to have a good season. They got a good new manager with a good young squad and considering the likes of Wolves, Everton, Sheffield United, Forest, Luton who I expect will be scrapping in the bottom 5, they could be a surprise once again. Also, 5th will likely be UCL since PL is the top league itw and the new UCL format comes into play next season where the 2 top leagues get an extra UCL spot.

I don't think Burnley fans need to worry about relegation too much. Kompany's a great manager who will get Burnley playing some attractive, high quality football, and although it won't result in wins every week in the top flight, I'm more than confident Burnley will accumulate enough points early on in the season to fend off any worries of relegation. I can honestly see a world where Burnley finish higher than Brighton & Brentford....

@@ORN227 100 per cent I agree the difference with Fulham is that I do think Marco Silva’s heavy experience has helped him as well the guy has been around in the game for a long time has had prem experience before: not saying you need prem experience de zerbi being proof however Marco Silva has been managing for like 10-15 years he’s highly highly experienced at the top level and knows how to navigate things now whereas Kompany is still new still learning, the squad isn’t great either so I do think Burnley could definitely struggle. Take Marco Silva out of Fulham I definitely think they’re going down. And he might because he’s got a huge Saudi offer, if he goes they are nailed on relegation candidates because that squad is pretty weak on paper. Also I definitely think Palhinha helped Fulham massively and was a big part of them finishing where they are I don’t think Burnley have anyone like a Joao Palhinha so with Burnley we have to not jump the gun because I do think its still a chance they do go down

Everton will be relegated this season. Sunderland were circling the toilet bowl for a few seasons before they were relegated. Funnily enough, Sunderland were relegated with the worst goalkeeper in PL history - Jordan Prickford. Everton's goalkeeper is...Jordan Prickford. An error prone calamity Jane with poor distribution, inability to organise a defence, lack of accountability and suspect aerially. Already put a 4 figure bet on them going down - easy money!

I've noticed that promoted clubs that play a different style to the rest usually stay up the first season (Leeds, Forest, Brentford, Sheffield United, Huddersfield...) They're usually "the odd one out" from the 3 promoted trams, as lately in most promotions there are 2 yoyo clubs + 1 historical comeback to the top flight. That's the only reason I can see Luton staying up.

I actually think we’ll be alright this season. I do believe we will bring a striker in, the Willy Gnonto links are extremely persistant and will just not go away so I do believe more will come through the door. Alan Myers has been stating constantly that Danjuma isn’t the only one on the horizon, and that another signing is imminent and that’s an attacking signing. So I do actually believe with a full pre season, we’ll actually be okay. We’ve got good up and coming players as well James Garner who was fantastic in the euros, Jarrad Branthwaite could have a break through season, Onana if he stays could have a good season, I can see Danjuma stepping up, think Mcneil is gonna stepnup with some goals and assists and showing some class as well, I see us actually being around 12,13th. I can’t see us doing more than that but everyone is writing us off as relegation or finishing 17th but I think its unfair to make that observation so early. I actually think we have a stronger team than teams like Burnley for example who everyone will have a better season than us. In truth we just don’t know until the season is played out. Teams that are expected to do well like Burnley may still to go down and teams like Everton who are expected to struggle might finish comfortably mid table we just never know

Manchester City will lose some key players, but financially are strong enough to replace the players who are leaving, regardless of that, they'll most likely win their 6th premier league title in the last 7 seasons including doing it 4 times in a row. That's a scary prospect right there because the premier league, everyone considers it to be the toughest league in the world a league with a high level of competition, but you got one team who could potentially win 4 league titles in a row next season and during the period in which they've won 5 premier league titles in 6 years, there have been title races and the title has had to be decided on the last game of the season, it doesn't change the fact that Manchester City are dominating English football and at this rate, it's gonna lead to farmers league analogies because English fans have been calling other leagues that and the premier league hasn't been slandered for being a farmers' league and right now Manchester City are at a rate where they'll continue winning league titles and you can make the argument that the premier league is now a farmers' league. When you see a team that is dominating any league winning league titles at an insane rate, it means that level of competition has diminished in recent years and you don't have a team capable of challenging the best team in the world for the title. Manchester City are simply too good because when you're playing in a tough league with a lot of teams and it's more competitive and you're still managing to find a way to be superior to the rest of the league and on the final day in close title races, they have the advantage and never look back get the job done when needed and the consistency they have makes them too good as once they start winning, they never stop and even if they drop points, they're too good not to achieve longevity in a 38 game league season. Another reason with why Manchester City have been dominating this league is too many of the other top clubs are too inconsistent and no team has been able to keep up with them. Liverpool have been a team that has pushed Manchester City all the way on a few occasions and almost got across the finish line, the only team able to challenge them in the league until the final day, but when you look at it in the last 6 years, Liverpool has won 1 premier league title, while Manchester City have the other 5, and during this period Liverpool has been up and down, one season they win premier league next year they barely make top 4, next season, they're in the hunt for a quadruple another season they barely even qualify for Europe and they are in a bit of a transitional phase right now. As great as this league is, the competition in the premier league has diminished because Manchester City has won 5 premier league titles in the last 6 seasons and right now it seems like no team is consistent enough to challenge them and next season they're winning the title again. With the way the league is going, they'll still dominate this league in the coming years if the other teams don't step up. In any league, including the premier league there are certain levels of entertainment and competition, they have many good teams in that league and a midtable or a team that's fighting relegation could beat Manchester City on any given day they are beatable, but how high is that level of competition when the same team is winning all the time and they're a really good team, but for many premier league neutrals, doesn't Manchester City winning every year get predictable and it's not tiring if they win all the time.

I think the trashing Burnley got form City in the FA cup game had too much of a grasp of how people thought of ''Burnley in the Prem'' as a concept. They we're faced with the treble winning side that was getting into the peak of their season. I think Burnley will do better than expected of a championship promotie, way better. Even if I'm not a Burnley fan I think I'll try to see as many Burnley games as I can this season, just one of the most interesting prospects this season.

I have serious faith in Chelsea for some reason. With the amount of talent they have in the pool I think they’ll finally have some breathing room to adapt and find the best team they can, last season felt like a massive rush and it all just fell apart for them. With nkunku as a top tier goal scorer they definitely have the ability to form a complete team and really challenge those European spots. I think last season was just a bump in the road, but who knows poch could spearhead a complete collapse.

Very good prediction mate, i agree with most of it but it's so hard to predict this season, almost impossible especially this early. I just strongly disagree with your take for Wolves to get relegated. They didn't do much in the window yet, but they are close to get Alex Scott, Elvedi, Rategui and i really like this potential signings. They still need more but i think they will do it and be absolutely find in the lower midtable. Everton as of now looks for me like a third team to get relegated.

What an impressive prediction, I wouldn't change virtually nothing! The main thing, I really think Villa will be amazing this year, I can easily see them finishing above Chelsea, and maybe even as high as 5th! I’m a wolves fan, and I completely agree we’re in trouble, however we do have some unknown talent like Joao Gomes, Hugo Bueno, Toti Gomes,, and our home form was very very good toward the back of last season. But I do agree we’ll be in trouble as we have no goalscorer, we probably won’t score 40+ goals again, and we play boring football with no real identity. *Also Jose Sa is not good 😂*

Last season some of the midtable clubs improved and are now playing European football Brighton, Newcastle, Aston Villa and there are some who have regressed and are in a period of transition and declined a lot last season Liverpool is the obvious one, Chelsea and Tottenham respectively have new managers and while some of them could improve and some struggle, the top 4 race will be more interesting in the premier league next season. You have Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United, and I didn't mention Manchester City is because they'll probably win the premier league title yet again next season. For me it'll be Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United in the top 4 next season Newcastle will once again have another great run in the league but next time around, it'll be more difficult for them to make top 4 than last season when so many top 6 clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham regressed and their squad isn't deep enough to cope with the heavy schedule now that they're back in the champions league and they'll add a few more players and I think they'll improve but will they make top 4 again. Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United have really strengthened their squads and added some really good players in their team, Newcastle and Aston Villa have done good business in the transfer window, and the premier league will be exciting and interesting at the top half and this is the story before the start of every season, the summer transfer window, many top teams spend a lot of money to bolster their squads get off to a good start which makes us believe that they'll contend for the league title, midseason their form dips as they deal with injuries, poor performance and they're now gonna fight for top 4, Manchester City meanwhile goes on a 10-15 game winning run and when they start winning they never stop and even if they end up losing 3-4 games before the season ends, they've been consistent enough for most of the season and 9 months 38 games later, you just know they're winning the entire league. It's been that case every season, where fans have excitement and optimism about the start of the premier league and the league is the most entertaining and exciting league to watch, unfortunately Manchester City wins every year and other teams need to step up and be more consistent not wait for them to get worse.

One thing Burnley would not have experienced last year needing to adapt their style of play as they would not have faced teams way better than them like city so are they able to play defenceive football against teams that are going to dominate more of the ball I think that is Burnleys weakness

This season isn’t going to be incredible. It might not be super realistic but there are about 9 teams that could make top 4 potentially. The big 6 always have a chance plus Brighton, Villa, and Newcastle all have a chance to at least get UEL.

Tbh, Spurs are gonna finish at least in the Europa league this season IF they sign a good CB or 2. Also their midfield is more than convincing if you consider the fact that Maddison will be partnered with Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Bentancur, and dare I say Skipp.

So excited for the season to start. My top 5 in no particular order is Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United and Newcastle. I gotta say tho, idk why but I have a feeling Klop is gonna have his boys ready for a huge year. I'm not a Liverpool fan, I just have a feeling 🤷‍♂️ maybe a top 3 finish and I think depending on how the group stage goes I believe they'll win the Europa League.
