My Pro Chemical and Dye Liquid and Ice Dyed Color Swatches

I made this video to share some of the liquid and ice dyed swatches I have made using the Pro Chemical and Dye fiber reactive dye colors that I have. I've also included a couple of swatches at the end for some special colors Pro Chemical offered that are now on clearance. I've added a link below to Pro Chemical's website. For the ice dyed swatches, I placed the dye over the top of the ice (DOI).

I am *obsessed* with the Dye Over Ice technique using non-primary colors. I love the color splits SO much, they are so beautiful. Blacks, browns, purples, etc. - they split so beautifully. Thank you for sharing these!

Dusty Orange looks very similar to Dharma’s Salmon Mousse. Mocha splits into a combination I’ve not seen elsewhere. Kilt Green is interesting, but not very green! 😅 Thanks so much for these swatch videos! Very helpful.

I'm glad you liked them! 😀 I think Dusty Orange has some of the same splits as Salmon Mousse, but I think it also favors Tangerine from Dharma. I am a huge fan of browns for color splits, and Mocha is one of my favorites. Some of the yellow and pink speckled on my swatch, but I love the olive and pink splits in the dye. You're right, Kilt isn't very green from Pro Chemical. As a liquid it is more of a dark teal color and the splits are very blue. Kilt from Dharma is more green and has green splits. I think Kilt is a great example why you swatch colors with the same name from different companies. I think Eggplant from Dharma and Pro Chemical are very different too.

Yesterday I went to a huge quilt show just to visit the Pro Chem booth. They had booklets with swatch samples of all their procion dyes which showed results from immersion, low-water immersion, and ice dye for each color. I was told that they are in the process of adding these to their website, which will be extremely helpful.

@@bizjet That's great you got to visit their booth! I would love to see better color samples on their website. I love their dye, but I don't think their website gives a good representation of each color.
