I've been deep into Band Maid for three years now. My wife is an intelligent woman and an accomplished musician in her own right. However, she calls them " Your Japanese girls" and won't give them the time of day. I get it...not everyone is into them...Some people tolerate them...Some people can't stand them...Okay, I get it ! They scratched an itch i didn't know i had, and I will always be grateful i found them. They have given me happiness and FOMO that I need at this time in my life ! Thank you for your sincere fandom and honesty.

Your problem with Band Maid is also an affliction I deal with. I listen to them every single day and I try listening to new bands and I even enjoy them, but after a few songs I always think “this is cool, but if I’m gonna listen to music, Band Maid is *right. There*” So, I get you man, I completely get you. On how to pronounce Rinne or any other Japanese word spelled with English letters. The trick is there are no silent vowels. They pronounce everything, it’s a very phonetic language, spelled like it sounds. Also no hard vowel sounds either I don’t think.

Kanami is the sensei of "just right", a perfect balance of technicality, melody, virtuosity, and hooks like crazy, their music is like chewing gum that never loses its flavour. No matter how many times I hear their songs, they never lose their appeal. I still listen to a lot of other music, but Band-Maid makes me unreasonably happy.

Band Maid has definitely culled a lot of music from my life… those I used to love but no longer measure up. Band Maid is something I find hard to explain to the uninitiated… or to those who do hear them but don’t get it the way I do. I’m saying to everyone that, yes, I really do think they are as good as the best ever, and it sounds crazy to them! Surely it must be just a “dirty old man thing perving on women dressed like maids”, right? We all know it’s nothing like that. They never tried to go that direction. If I was that shallow there’s plenty of women rockers onstage half-undressed playing average music. I don’t pay them any attention, though, because it’s about awesome music for me.

I've had the exact same experience with Band-Maid. First time I heard them my eyes welled up; I think I knew that music had changed for me. It's actually amazing to me that, despite years of searching, I haven't found anything else that even comes close to having the same effect as a new Band-Maid song. Best of luck staying positive with your channel.

Thanks for the video. I can sense your heart. In Japan, there is an expression that says, "When you look at a flower and feel that it is beautiful, it is not that there is a beautiful flower, but that there is a heart of the person who feels that flower is beautiful." It is a reflection of a person's heart to love BAND-MAID's music, and a person's heart to deny or insult. If there is a stupid write-up, it is only the human heart that is there, and it does not infringe on the value of you or your loved ones. I have a deeper understanding of why BAND-MAID's music sounds so great because of your reactions. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary and are continuing to fly. If you continue your journey with them, there are people who are genuinely looking forward to it. We dedicate the message of their new song "Bestie" to you. May your tomorrow be happy.

I have missed your reactions. You're genuine reactions to Band-Maid are some of my favorite and really confirmed for me a couple years ago when I came across them that I was not crazy for thinking these may be the 5 best rock musicians in one band since the Stones. Sorry if the "environment" soured your experience, I have recently gound the same "disappointment" with some reactors that seem to be riding the Maids aprontails and deluding themselves into thinking folks are tuning in for them instead of the Maids, or leaping to more "popular" music to "grow their channels." The real Madiacs know you are, like you always said, primarily interested in getting the Maids into as many headsets as possible. Thanks for doing you, man.

I empathize with you 100%. For me, Rachmaninov is to classical music what Band-Maid is to Rock. Even though I still listen to others, they don't move me the way Rach and B-M do. They're both at another level.

I happened to discover BAND-MAID just as the pandemic was hitting it's stride, so I had an amazing, brand new band to dive head first into. Believe me when I say that they made dealing with that shit show a whole lot more tolerable. They brought a smile to my face every day. 😁

Have you watched the Yokohama spin off show on Zaiko ? The sound mixing is stellar, probably the best they ever had for a show with a filming on par, allowing to see and hear things you don’t notice usually, especially from Akane who is just incredible.

Just be you brother. I have listened to Japanese music for 21 years. I absolutely love a ton of songs that don’t get reactions. Authenticity is the name of the game. BM is the best for me. Comments mean nothing, even mine. Be real and move forward.

I can relate to your experience about Band-Maid and the online world. Band-Maid brought the love of music, which had died for me back in the late 70s, back into my life. I loved their music from the first time I heard it 2 1/2 years ago but it was various musician-reactors like you who showed me how to listen to their music that turned a flame into a bonfire. One which brings me joy everyday. As for the internet... I've been online since the mid 90s and seen what you've gone through happen many times. You, as far as I can tell from your videos, are a good, decent person. Do what works for you. I thank you for what you have shown me about music by telling me what you hear as you listen.

Watched the Yokohama concert many times on streaming. Then bought the DVD. Then the extra spin off concert is now available for streaming and that is equally superb. I mention this because I really can't afford any of this. But music and Band Maid especially just make me happy in a discontented World. Reactions can be enjoyed or ignored. Fandom of any band tends to occasionally spill into the absurd. In the same way it is easy to make negative comments against reactors or anybody on line. Let's face it, there are a lot of discontented people out there. However as a subscriber to your channel for some time who rarely comments. Be assured that there are more people that enjoy it and the enthusiasm for music then don't. Sadly we are less likely to comment. Enjoy what you do. But do it for you because it works FOR YOU.

I actually have a BAND-MAID fund put aside for stuff like that. They're the only group I spend money on these days. 😁

Lovebites do have a reputation for having some toxic fans, and it probably is just a few, but they are very vocal. You have to wonder what they are trying to achieve, as saying "this band you like are crap, you should listen to this other band instead" is going to make people instantly have negative feeling towards their band, just by association. I love Band-Maid, but for me they also opened a door to listening to so many other bands from the region. I'm not really into metal, so none of the usual suspects did it for me, but I've gained a real love for loads of small bands, such as Rumkicks, The Let's Go's, 18Fevers, 炙りなタウン, Mutant Monster, 東京初期衝動, 虎の子ラミー, Junky58%, and many more. None of them are like Band-Maid, but that's not important to me.

You are one of my fav Band-Maid reactors. You are doing unique reactions, and I like your reactions a lot! Yokohama Arena has the capacity of 17K, but according to the venue's information, the stage was set up to accommodate 12K people (with the center stage and the walkway) for the Band-Maid show, and the official announcement of tickets sold for the show was 8000. It is still the biggest Band-Maid show to date, and I was one of 8,000!

Thanks great talk.I"ve seen a lot of these horrible comments and a lot coming from the same people.even worse I've seen just really heinous comments written in BAND-MAIDS comment section. But we can't feed the trolls so I just let it go PO...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!! BAND-MAID will heal the mind!!!!!🕊🍌🍻☕⚾------------------

I’ve been replying and apologizing to reactors for the trolls when I notice it. To let them know we don’t like them either.

@@evilducks3710Yes… It gets ugly at times. I especially feel bad when it’s between Band Maid fans and The Warning fans. As much as I love Band Maid I find The Warning has a lot to offer. I cringe to see fans of either group putting down the other. It’s particularly dumb to be so petty when we know that the bands like and respect each other!

I'd like to thank you not only for your Band-Maid reactions which have always been great but also for when you talked about the KZ ZS10 Pro IEMs which I bought and found them to be great. This led me to trying a number of other IEMs too. Thank you. Without you talking about them I'd have never tried any IEM, I didn't even know they existed outside of the expensive ones musicians use or cheap earbuds, and would have missed out on many details that I can now hear.
@AMetalheadsPerspective8 ай бұрын
Hey I know many a real musicians that just can't afford $1000 and up IEMs and they use the much cheaper ones. There is good quality in a lot of cheaper gear you just have to do a little research and just give it a try. I am glad you found something you like and are interested in through my channel. Thanks for sharing!

Keep up the good fight. When I now go back to the great music I grew up with its sounds like it’s missing something. Band Maid sets the bar so high. Try East of Eden.

Social media is kind of an unhappiness engine, it seems. Thanks for all the time you put into spreading your joy from the maids and others. And also for this kind of real talk. The maids just have great taste. I've gone back to some of the old bands I liked when I was younger, and it is diminished. That's a real thing. Especially the drumming seems boring. Akane has spoiled us. I don't know if you've ever checked him out, but if you haven't, maybe take a look at Eve. It's a little mathy, a little poppy. Really interesting vocal rhythms. If you need a place to start, I really like "Fight Song".
