Matsimus I hope you enjoyed your self, it looked like fun. It reminds me of the Old saying " Boy's never grow up.... Their toys just get bigger, and more expensive". Have a great weekend!!

Back in World War 2 my Great Granddad was an artilleryman on a 25-pounder gun. Great to see the history of the artillery in action.

Is there any info on amount of propellant charges used, velocity, armor penetration and effectiveness of AP round of 25 pounder? That thing was used as AT gun in North Africa on few occasions so here's historical interest. It's also the earliest modern gun above the punching weight of 2 pounder that is available to british before 6 pounder and especially 17 pounder are ready. So here's althistory interest, Churchill armed with 25 pounder(no, turret ring fits, proven by aussies).

I did not realize than blank firing demos were held in Canada, do you have any details regarding when and where they occur ? I'd drive in for Montreal for that ....

A couple of things strike me as wrong; the first being the ammunition is on the wrong side of the gun, the second is that there is no command to unload, the gun No.2 does (should) that automatically after the gun has fired. I'm also perplexed that the platform is still up in the travelling position making it difficult for the No.4 to lean over and load the case. I appreciate it's only a demo but when you have trained on these it's things like this which go against the grain! Perhaps Canadian gun drill did differ to ours??
