Lol that is a lot of PVS-7s. I started with one too, definitely works. The housing definitely has its downsides compared to more modern designs. The weight, length (distance of objective from your eye), and fear of snapping off the bayonet horn were the biggest draw backs for me.

When I think of night vision goggles, I see the pvs7. Most likely because I grew up in the 80s.

I've got a. PVS7, Tubes is good but unit doesn't turn on, looking for a good housing body or maybe have this one repaired, any ideas.

I would clean out the battery compartment with some proxide. Also, make sure the steel on the battery cap is not missing or broken.

You can find a gen3 pvs7 used for around 1500. I would go that route. I'm not familiar with Teslord.

My only thing I'm iffy about is passive aiming with pvs7's and the lack of depth perception. I know its possible but I heard its annoying to do.

Passive aiming will be a challenge with pvs7. I recommend a pvs14 for that application.

If you're using civ power IR laser, it's not inherently much more visible than the potential glow from the screens on your face. Just use active IR aiming.

I have two ballistic helmets I have a pasgt I converted into a high cut, and I have a large MSA ACH helmet that I have in stock configuration, I will be buying a bump helmet probably a Russian lshz1 or tor helmet to use and run a norotos 3 hole shroud. I like my 7
