Never had boba tea before. Looks yummy though.

It’s an interesting experience, for sure! It took me a few tries to actually enjoy it, lol. The tea is good regardless of whether you add boba or not!

Making your own boba tea is a cool skill to have learned out of necessity. The timing of this is amusing, though, as I just found out last week that a boba shop had opened up in my town a few months ago, and I was thinking about trying them some weekend soon, since I've never had it. I have no "quarantine skills" because I have not been quarantined for the facts that 1) I work for an "essential" retailer, and 2) Arkansas has been stupid af about the whole situation. And anyway, the idea that we have to be productive at all times and at any cost is late-stage capitalism bullshit and I reject it, so no shame to anyone who isn't learning or improving on skills during this hell year.

Ooooh, please report if you try this boba shop (also what a strange time to open a business)! It took me a couple of tries to actually enjoy boba. I hated it at first but I also couldn’t stop thinking about it and ten years later we’re still in love, lol. And definitely no shame for not learning a new skill! This is really the only thing I’ve learned and only because I’d go nuts without it.

@@jessherselfable I finally got to try the boba shop! It's kind of out of the way for my normal goings-on, but I decided to treat myself after I early voted yesterday, and it was so good! I tried one of their signature drinks called the Frog Prince, which is a green apple + kiwi blend with pomegranate popping pearls and green apple jelly stars, and I loved it. That and a couple of their bao were basically my lunch, lol. Next time I go, I'll try a more classic milk tea, but I will definitely go back after such a good experience.
