Holy smokes!!! You are just genius. I love R5D4 and if I had the money, I'd commission you to build one. This is just wonderfully fun and amazing. Thank you for sharing your skill. I knew I was in over my head when I already had no idea how to use or install the very first component you mentioned This type of work is so far beyond me, it hurts my brain.

Ian, I've told you this before...but it was your videos that inspired me to take the plunge into droid building! Such a great R5D4 you have here. Thank you for the inspiration.

You sir are awesome! I just started printing my R2D2 dome. I don’t have any electrical experience other than soldering lights for my projects. But more than willing and motivated by this video to learn.

Awesome job. As a kids magician and I use a similar vape setup, triggered by a key fob remote, to make smoke come out of my top hat. This R5 build is awesome. Nice work.

Funny thing about using compressed air as a fire extinguisher is that the propellant is flammable! But it's a cool effect. I'm not knocking it. I enjoy irony.

Thank you thank you thank you! That zapper and a lot of your tips and tricks saved me a lot of work. I was about to work on the model for the zapper, I'm glad someone else did it and put it out there so I don't have to redo it. Awesome!I'll chicken out on having the actual zapper part though. :)Awesome work and awesome droid!

Please let me know how you got started into all this (electronics/robotics) and where/what was needed to learn it. I have an interest in getting into robotics myself but it's intimidating. Also what did you do to figure out what to use and buy to make all this happen?

Is is possible for someone to make the unit retract the third leg and stand up?
@ekij1333 жыл бұрын
There are Astromechs that can retract the 3rd leg but it takes up most of the space inside the droid so there is then no room for other arms.
