I want to point out that the whites woman asking for a white beauty advisor was asking for just that a beauty advisor.. not someone to apply makeup.. she wanted someone to walk around with her to educate her about products in the store not someone to do a mini make over on her or foundation match.. just putting it out there.
@Genevie_G30 Жыл бұрын
Oh, I thought you meant she wanted a white person to do her make up and I was very confused because in another video, you said Black people asked for Black people and Asian people ask for Asian people, so I was confused why she couldn’t do that lol. With White people looking for make up for Black people sometimes they don’t know the correct shade and like concealer and stuff like that because I know when I worked at a makeup store, a lot of the white women didn’t understand how to do it for the black women, so it kind of makes sense for the white woman to do the same thing, but also she could’ve known about what your coworker did with making that girl silver before her sister’s wedding and didn’t know that you guys are taught the same thing? I’m not trying to defend her, but this happened a lot at the make up store I used to work at, and that was the reasoning they gave us.

@nayatarot777 Жыл бұрын
@@Genevie_G30 paris has already clarified that the problem is that she wasn’t looking for someone to do her makeup. just to walk around the store with her and educate her about different products. not colour match or anything. she’s also clarified in another video that it makes sense to her that when people are asking for their makeup to be done, that they ask for someone of the same race. that’s why that person is side-eyeing you. all of this has been clarified. so…what’s the problem? also, there’s still a major difference in what makeup artists are taught about makeup - especially in beauty school. the FIRST type of makeup, hair, etc that people of all races are taught to do is white people’s makeup and white people’s hair. white makeup artists not knowing how to colour match other races is PREVALENTLY higher than the other way around BECAUSE of that reason. it still makes sense why someone would want to get their makeup done by someone who looks like them, but m you’re trying to say that makeup artists of a different race to their clients not knowing how to colour match is equal across the board - but it’s not.

I’m so sorry you had those experiences. I can definitely relate as I’ve worked retail for awhile now. But I’ll be honest and say I’m guilty of asking for black beauty advisors when I’m at Sephora because I’ve had too many bad experiences to count with non black beauty advisors. I just chose to consult with someone who understands the struggle that is being a black girl buying makeup. Also, where I live, the black advisors are the only ones who go out of their way to help me.

All I have to say is.....PARIS IS QUEEEEEN. You deserve the world and all the positivity that ever existed. Nobody should have to go through these types of things. Best KZbinr ever.

I’ve experienced racism towards people of color first hand through co workers and family and strangers in the street. I stand with every person of color. Always have always will. ✊🏼
