The dealership is the money pit. You can fix most of those issues with $1000 at British Atlantic and technical aptitude.

I have a 2017 Range Rover Sport HSE with the 3.0 liter V6 supercharged engine. This car I have had since new, and hasn't had any notable issues. Mind you, the car has 70k miles now, and I have done regular maintenance. The issues it has had: an intermittent check engine light, that literally just disappeared (I think it was emmissions related but not a problem now), A transmission fault which again, disappeared after one day. The issues it has: The front passenger door lower panel (the plastic cladding I suppose you could call it) is loose, but it has been like that for a very long time, and doesn't bother me at all as it's not noticeable, and doesn't affect any functionality, nor does it like flap around at speed or anything like that. Second issue is a slight coolant leak from the expansion tank. Again it doesn't bother me much because it only happens when the coolant is hot where the coolant actually flows out of the crack in the expansion tank, and even when it does leak it isn't much at all. Last issue is that the rear brakes are ABSOLUTELY TOASTED! I suppose my mechanic didn't put the wear sensor on properly so there was never a light on the dash, but the rear brake pads have no material left on them, and are on the backplates. Surprisingly the car still brakes okay but the rotors are detroyed so they are being replaced now. Also, the new shop I took this car to claims that it has a faulty brake caliper, which I just can't believe but my father went out to it and checked, and it apparently does need replacing. I highly doubt it as both of my old mercedes have 150k miles and 250k miles, so plenty of brake services, but never once have the brake calipers needed replacing. As for the build quality, it is extremely high. All of the materials feel high end, and the fitment is quite good. My seats have turned like yours where the leather is a bit loose, but the leather is in fantastic condition. I think one contributing cause may be the difference in where we live. Now I don't know where you live, but my car has lived its entire life here in the west coast. It has ZERO rust/corrosion, and no sort of fading badges or loose bits on the exterior, so if you potentially live in the salt belt or pretty much anywhere they use salt, it will be colder and saltier, so that may the reason yo have had so many issues.

I agree they are very nice and the interior is super comfortable. The guy I got this from lived in Ohio

That could definitely be your problem. But it could also be that your range rovers underrcarriage has never been washed, whereas mine I always wash the underside thoroughly

Your summering up at the end is,,,, why we all own Range Rovers, They are comfortable to driver, Rapid when you want too, & a nice high & heavy 4x4, l have the 2015 sports from new, but it has been up dated, body kit ect, The first thing you learn when you own a Range Rover is,,, you don't go to the main dealer, if you know what l mean,,,,, those prices you quoted, are crazy, there are some good mechanics out there? All your car needs internally is some love & care, not expensive to get professional help,,, You have to except expensive car will bring higher repair bills, But you are driving one of the best up date cars in the world,,

Great video, But stay out the dealership. Find a good tech that knows these cars. Most cars have design flaws. these just happen to have a few more.

The previous owner did you bad. That car looks as if it has been through some trials...... and it is 8 - 9 years old. If I'm buying a RRS that old I think I'm getting it from the dealer (certified pre-owned) and then I'll be sure (..ish) of the service history and even get a short warranty.

The previous owner fault and his fault for not doing due diligence. It’s a used car, nothing to do with the vehicle
