I haven’t reread this series in soooo long but I love this list. “I mean Blood of Olympus exists.” LOL you speak the truth. I remember Titan’s Curse stuck out to me so much when I first read it and I reeeally loved the Hunters of Artemis! The blue hair brush is still so iconic LOL. I loooved The Last Olympian. Honestly though I was really disappointed that we didn’t get any Percy or Annabeth POVs in Blood of Olympus, I know that we got a lot in House of Hades but I personally really like seeing characters affected by a traumatic experience in the aftermath, it sounds strange but I like that. Also we needed more Reynico (?) moment! They are one of the best friendship ships I have ever fricking seen! I am done with my rant now.

YES. The only scene I remember from anyone having some kind of traumatic memory are annabeth panicking when Jason is almost dying at the start and when percy, annabeth and piper are all on the Athena/Poseidon temple and Percy brings up Tartarus and annabeth is like “no.” But if anyone was stuck in hell for that long I assume they would have 3 traumas, 1 phobia, distrust on everything upon their life and ptsd+depression combo. In my head I believe that at least 3 times a day annabeth will fully breakdown and not be able to function at all and people at her uni (because yeah, I mean she probably would keep on studying) will just look at her weird while she dying inside because it’s not like she can tell anyone what she’s been through (uhh edit: my friend says she also remembers annabeth crying before going to that pit with piper which is a quite interesting number of times that annabeth vented to piper)

My ranks: I love all of them by the way 5- Sea of monsters- great but in comparison to the others 4- Battle of the labyrinth- I don't really remember things in this book but I loved it 3- Lightning thief- the introduction to this amazing series, I love it. 2- Titan's curse- Thalia was amazing and the hunters, also amazing. My ranking would be: 1) The Last Olimpian (I think it has so many iconic and unforgettable moment, like Luke's mom introduction, Beckendorf and Silenas deaths, The War itself was also marvelous, and, of course, Percabeth start as an OFFICIAL COUPLE and their underwater kiss 😍😍. Also, I love how the story ends great for practically every character and, for sure, the "Family, Luke. You promised." sentence. It's so heartbreaking) 2) The Lightning Thief (The story has a great start, easy and fun to read, it let's you know the most relatable facts of each character lifes. Also, the Lost Trio trip together is something that I really love. Annabeth is the smartest and she messes with Percy all the time, Percy makes us feel lot of empathy and love for him and Grover is absolutely adorable 😍) 3) The Battle of Labyrinth (In that book we can see Percabeth first kiss ❤️ Also, it has really fun moments as the hair brush thing and how Annabeth can't help to be petty with Rachel all the time 🤣) 4) Sea of monsters (I actually enjoyed this book a lot. I love how they show Percy not only as a brave and extremely sassy boy, but as a big brother who defends the weak ones from being bullied. Also, it shows Clarisse character, which I love and I feel like should have been more important in the novels, not only as an abusive and aggressive Ares' daughter, but it lets us see for the first time her virtues and the reason why she is so mean) 5) The Titan's Curse (I know many people love this book in the saga, but I personally liked it a little less than the rest. I love Nico's character (and I know it's one of the main reasons why people love this book), but in this book, when he stills a kid, I find him a little too childish, sometimes even annoying. Also, I never really liked too much Thalia's character and I found her even more arrogant than Annabeth, whose fatal flaw was supposed to be, presicely the hibris or excessive pride. Also, I couldn't enjoy the book the same way without Annabeth with a main roll in it. However, I think it has many good moments, like the "dam" joke dialogue or Zoe and Bianca's deaths. Although I kinda imagined it. It was practically impossible that Rick killed Grover or Percy, and two of them had to die, so I just didn't know if Thalia would die.

Blood of Olympus is fine honestly, Leo and Percy bonding over bad puns and calypso is great Also sry I’m late but here’s my ranking 5th Lightning Thief- don’t get me wrong it’s a brilliant book, and a great way to start the series, but a lot of the better plot lines are introduced later (Thalia and the hunters, nico, Tyson and Percy’s relationship, percabeth etc). I don’t hate it, the others are just better. Tie for 3rd Sea of Monsters/Battle of the Labyrinth- again these are here by process of elimination, Sea of monsters has a great plot and there are many callbacks like Hylla & Reyna, Percy asking clarisse to join the battle in LO, (btw I think he still has that favour on her) and Battle of the labyrinth has a great beginning of the end feel, even tho it’s book four of ten but percabeth is few and far between in these ones, in SoM it’s basically the Guinea pig, sirens and the end of the chariot race. BotL has even less and (dare I say it) Perachel *audible gasps echo across the spacetime continuum* is far to high for my liking. But it’s also setting up for HoO with calypso and waking up typhon and Luke’s development, Nico’s ghost king/loner aspect is a great contrast to his geeky mythomagic-loving self, but the next two are too good to let’s these ones have the spotlight. 2nd Titan’s Curse- NICO IS HERE woop woop and Zoë, for a character who gets killed off in the book she was introduced in has a surprising amount of development. Thalia isn’t a tree anymore and the Zeus/Poseidon rivalry is showing, but in a way that’s just friends falling out, not dragging the entire world into a six year conflict. This is the one where Percabeth is starting to canonize itself (thanks botl for almost killing our hopes) and has the most moments between them until MoA and HoH. 1st I’m not putting it here to avoid smitance, I’m putting here because it deserves to be here. The actual “defend Manhattan” arc doesn’t start till almost halfway thru, which is nice because it allows nico and Percy time to develop with each other while simultaneously getting dissolved/smote by their dad. (Guess which is which.) Annabeth is also developed a lot beside deciding if she wants to smite Rachel or not. Her taking the knife that would have killed Percy comes up later and I think it’s one of their best moments together. Also the Percy vs Hyperion is the best fight in any series Rick has ever written, or will write. Frank taking on the katobleps and Artemis vs atlas, but Artemis vs atlas isn’t as exiting because they’re immortal, there’s no clear victor and Frank vs the katobleps is a cool character moment but it’s given to him, Percy vs Hyperion is exiting because even though Percy has the curse of Achilles, all it takes is for Percy to get hit in the small of his back. Its also the first time Percy summons a hurricane, which is revealed brilliantly as you think he’s just dousing Hyperion’s fire in the water they’re fighting over, but he’s actually whipping up hurricane-force winds. (Another reason why franks moment in HoH is pale to this one, the Blessing of War is revealed the same way, with hazel being confused about his height. Moving on, Beckalina is forever in my heart and the “Batman slapping robin” meme is perfect to her being the spy/bringing almost as many fresh warriors as the defence started with. The prophecy is brilliant and teeth-grindingly annoying for playing the pronoun game with Luke. Or it refers to Percy not becoming immortal, still not sure. Hades is portrayed as a hero which is a nice change of pace *cough* Disney *cough*. To rehash something in the video, the “meh some other generation can handle the next prophecy” is a great representation of their characters. Percy and Annabeth have just started dating and are so exited to be together, when Hera comes in and ruins them for another half year-and I’m going to far into Lost Hero- This book is a perfect wrap up/set up, and I’m not saying that to avoid smitance.

It has been a while since my last reread (and one is coming up now). As far as I remember, my order is this: 1) Last Olympian (the final battle was the a huge chunk of the book and it was great) 2) The Lightning Thief (same reasons) 3) Titans Curse (I don’t know why, but it’s up here) 4) Sea of Monsters (it seems unfai to me to put it any lower, because I feel like that would be due to the impact of a certain movie...) 5) Battle of the Labyrinth (I don’t remember it much, which usually means thats it’s quite low.)

I completely understand the shade thrown on blood of Olympus. Everything with the main seven was boring to say the least, but honestly, the Reyna an Nico chapters were enough to make this book one of my favorites. I might have a bit of a bias, because I love Nico, and Reyna is my all time favorite character. I wish people talked about their relationship throughout this book as much as they talk about Solangelo. I mean, before romantic love, what Nico really needed was acceptance, and Reyna was the first person to fully show him that, or at least, she was the first person Nico was truly able to open up to. And I will spare you my rant about why I adore Reyna so much. That would be several pages long. All I will say is, she literally threw herself onto an explosive arrow to protect a single wounded Pegasus. and that hug she gave Nico at the end is easily one of my favorite moments in any of Rick’s books. All I’m saying is that I get why people dislike this book. It was a disappointment, but I would comfortably put it as one of my favorites just because of Reyna and Nico. That’s how much I love those two. And I give it credit for making Reyna Ramirez Arellano my favorite character. I feel that I would be doing her and Nico a serious disservice by disliking this book. When I reread it, I am just going to skip to their chapters and ignore the rest. Feel free to pretend that BOO does not exist. This is just my opinion. I have very strong feelings towards those two, especially. Reyna. I think she deserves much mor love from the fandom, and we can’t give her that without acknowledging BOO. Let me know if you feel the same way. I am the only Percy Jackson fan I know, so I had to write my thoughts somewhere.

I immediately knew that the last book was going to be the favorite- it’s mine too. The climax is so iconic and still makes time for character development and Rick ties it together in a way that made sense. I probably maybe would’ve put battle of the labyrinth in second because the tiny bits and pieces from what I remember with Hephaestus and such really helped plan ahead. This is why I love the riordonverse, Rick chooses his words very carefully- not to mention he’s like the best person ever.

My favorite is Titan's Curse. This book brought me 2 of my favorites in this universe: Thalia and Bianca, and gave me my nemesis, Diana (I know she's Artemis in the book but I say the Roman names). Also I think I liked it so much just because of my hype. I've been trying to find in stores, in libraries and just couldn't. Then out of nowhere, I was in a random book store with my mom and something orange caught my eye (in my country the cover's orange) and I was like "holy shit I can't believe I found it!" I was so excited I read almost the whole book by the time I went to bed and I think I cuddled with it in the night

I read the first three books when I was 7 or something and then never knew there were more until this year lmao. I started the reread on the 30th of May and then read BotL and LO for the first time. I picked up LO on Sunday night and finished it yesterday. Fastest I've ever read a book. I couldn't put it down, I feel you when you say you were so eager to finish it. It's so good and I think everything wraps up so well. I started liking Nico at the end of BotL but in LO he's just awesome. And I loved Hades helping out even though he's still a dick, just less than most of the other Gods. I don't know if it is because I ship Percabeth but the Rachel/Percy thing was always just weird and awkward to me. Rachel as a character is fine but she's not my favourite. I love that she threw a hairbrush at Kronos though. And who hates Grover?? He's the best. My sweet summer child. So underrated. Anyways, I think my ranking would probably be: 1. Last Olympian 2. Lightning Thief 3. Titan's Curse (I considered switching this with BotL but this has Thalia and Artemis and Apollo and the first real hint and Percabeth and I just love it) 4. Battle of the Labyrinth 5. Sea of Monsters (still good but it took me the longest to finish because it wasn't as interesting)
