Knocked Loose's new album pushed the needle for metal in my opinion. It's been a long time since I have listened to a straight up heavy album and thought this is moving metal to new boundaries. For example, I felt that way about JFAC's doom ep over 15 years ago, I feel like it's in that category

As for feels... "To The Flowers" is one of only two metal songs that ever got me misty-eyed (other is "Constance") but that was mainly due to the accompanying music video, so I don't know if that counts in a song category...

The music video is definitely a work of art- it conveys so mcuh relatable emotion in a 4 min space. The actors, the directing, the song... I never would've thought that tapping runs could convey frantic grief, but somehow they nailed it. I just wish the rest of their stuff was as good. @@toyotaecw

Quick TLDR for who Obkatiekat is for anyone who doesn't know Katie is a vtuber and has been one of the biggest voices in the vtubing community for metal music for a long time now and recently put out an absolute fuck ton of cover songs for metal songs like VIKING or To the Hellfire to name a few over the course of an entire year, she is an absolute badass who has worked hard to achieve everything she has done and she immediately stole my vote with that fact

A Wake In Providence and Enterprise Earth didn’t get any love, but otherwise thought the nominations were legit. Also thought Brandon Zackey should have been nominated for drummer seeing as he went from recording the Enterprise Earth album to Whitechapel’s new album and they are entirely different styles of deathcore.

The only problem I had with Nik having an award show was that I wasn’t getting an award…🤷🏻‍♂️ Of course I haven’t produced any music but that small hiccup aside I really don’t see any other reason for not just nominating me but ultimately letting me win. And not just win, but gloat about it in front of all my dozens of fans that I don’t technically have 😅 What a terrible guy Nik is come to think of it 🧐🤔

Same. I just can't get past the tinny snare aesthetic they go for or Brian's vocals. Disembodied Tyrant deserves all the love- Blake is a MONSTER. Everything he touches turns to deathcore gold. I think he reinvigourated a stagnant genre in a big way.
