My rescue cat Ume is still a baby

This video was shot in early August and Ume was about 3-month-old. She is now 4-month-old, but still put drool on my cloths almost every day. She's such a baby!☺

Gender: male
Character: a slow-tempo and timid.
Birth: Late June 2019
Adopted: August 15, 2019 (at 2 months old)
I got him from a local bird shop with Kue
◆A normal-colored green cheeked conure（?）
Name: Oolong
Gender: Unknown
Birth: Late May 2020
Adopted: July 6, 2020(at 40 days old)
I got Oolong from a breeder nearby
◆A grey-colored rescued stray cat（♀）
Name: Ume (meaning "Japanese plum")
Gender: female
Birth: Late Apr.- Early May, 2021
Adopted: June 6th, 2021 (at around 40 days old)
She'd been abandoned and I rescued her.

甘えん坊ウーロンがこの姿を見たら間違いなく嫉妬します。幸いなことに鳥たちが寝静まった夕方以降に梅は甘えに来るので今のところ平和です。笑

生後五か月が経ち、六カ月目に入ろうというのに毎日寝る前フミフミチュッチュしています。やはり幼くして母猫と離れてしまったのが原因で甘えグセがとれないんですかね。私は可愛くて役得ですが(≧▽≦)

Often when kittens are taken from their mother too soon, they will act like this. They are trying to simulate nursing, it's a comfort thing. My two cats Romeo and Juliet used to do that, also she may develop a bite and hold thing. Kittens are usually taught bite inhibition by their mom's, but if they are taken too soon they don't so they get a little bitey sometimes. Not mean, just don't know better.

Wow, Ume is doing exactly what you said, biting and holding things. Poor Ume. She got separated from her mother too soon. I'll take good care of her!!!

@@budgieconureandcatdiary988 yup you will and are! You might want to talk to your vet about what to do about biting. My vet suggest anti anxiety meds, but I imagine your vet will have better advice lol

@@budgieconureandcatdiary988 also! She may never outgrow it, but mine stopped doing the nursing simulate when they were a little over a year. They still do the bite and hold, mostly to my hand.
