Sir,using Paul vs Peter in that context is very wrong. Apostle Paul didn't stop at the elders,he went further to say" not to rebuke the young men but to admonish them as brothers too".(1Tim5:1-2) Again,you can't compare Paul with Timothy....Paul,got his mandate directly from God to establish doctrines he received directly from Christ (Galatians 1).And the Apostles were the foundation of the new testament.They had the mandate to correct any wrong teaching or behavior that was contrary to the Gospel. Even if you are the eldest Apostle...once,you are misleading others,the other Apostles can rebuke you. Timothy was not an Apostle,he was a pastor....For his church to grow,he needed to know how to relate with everyone...... Apostles& prophets don't have that' shepherd- like 'ministry like the pastors..... the ministry of the Apostles & prophets is more direct,confrontational.....Study your bible to know how the offices in ministry work.

The same Timothy is also told to rebuke an elder in the same 1 Timothy 5 by the same Apostle Paul. Does that mean verse one is contradicting the other verse, absolutely not, the whole chapter works together for edification of the saints. I for one pitch my tent ⛺ on the word of God and not wisdom of any man. After all it's been said by the pillars of the faith as we know it today, I go to the Word and find God's truth through the help of the Holy Spirit - the only true teacher of men. I will blame no one as I build this house on the foundation that is Christ on the day of Judgement. I am the builder, the foundation of the house is Christ Jesus 👑

My problem with Damina is not about his fathers, but about scriptures twisting: Jesus did not go to heaven, but went inside the believers, and one of the elder in the book of Revelation did know much, because he called Jesus the Lion of the tribe of Judah, there is no communion in the Bible - that which Christ himself instructed to be done in remembrance of Him etc.

Sorry I disagree with you my brother. In rebuking an Elder, you don't come out to the public and call him a liar. You might not understand what he said even as an elder, but you didn't call him a liar to the younger once. It's okay to rebuke and let the elders know where they are wrong and preach what you think or know is right. You didn't have to come to the public to rubbish that person. The same BaKare you used, was the one who in the nineties said redeemed were worshiping a snake that God himself showed him, he even swore that God should take his place in eternity if he's lying, and people believed him then. But later came out in the twenties to say Pastor Adeboye is one of the holiest and true preacher he had seen and met. I have seen both message, this is not a lie, but not everybody that heard BaKare call him fake then would have heard him said he's holy now. Can you imagine the damage that would have cost to the body of Christ. So if you didn't understand a man like you said. Just do you own thing and go. However, we shall soon know the truth before Christ returns in Jesus name . If Abel thinks God can't drink tea with men, that's okay. but to now come on air to rubbish whoever said that, is on called for. Complete nonsense

I don't accept that Abel Damina is speaking from God. I have heard many heretic teachings from this man. You can't take a particular part of the Bible and wrest it to your own destruction like it was written in 2 Peter. This man once said that God does not live in heaven and those who heard him started clapping for him because of the rubbish he vomited and used a single verse of the scripture to back that nonsense he said. If God is in “heaven”, who then lives in you as a believer? Or have you forgotten whose temple you are? Or perhaps you don’t know what “temple” connotes? With the New Testament revelation is what you use in interpreting Old Testament prophecies or teachings. After you must have pondered, kindly respond so I’d know if I should go ahead with a brief explanation. Also, please do well to listen to full sermons and not 1-2 minutes excerpts, without getting the context of discussion. It’s in the same vein people take scriptures out of context because they are not careful enough to try understanding the mind of the writer and what he was trying to communicate.

Please the guest should have chosen a better phrase to describe Damina because Damina is not the voice of God. Having said that, let's take a good look at 1 Timothy 5. verses 1&2 read, 1 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity. So we see that older man here has to do with people that are old enough to be one's father. Younger ones are therefore expected to give them same treatment they would give their biological fathers at home, after all, no one disrespects his father publicly because of an exasperating behaviour of his/her father. As we can see, these verses have nothing to do with correcting an elder who is responsible for the spiritual wellbeing of God's children under his care i.e someone who preaches and teaches the words of God. Now compare the above with 1Timothy 5:17-20 17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,”[a] and “The worker deserves his wages.”[b] 19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. 20 But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning. Timothy after all can reprove an elder publicly! Yes, an elder whose work is preaching and teaching which is different from an older person who may have erred in some conduct. Note the distinction in words - older man and an elder who preaches and teaches. The guest needs to put his behind down and thoroughly study the words of God and understand them before attempting to interpret the word, so that the internet audience are not misled.

Also, he misinterpreted and misrepresented 1Timothy 5, because a thorough look at the passage gives the understanding that Timothy should reprimand an elder who is charged with the responsibility to preach and to teach God's words and is in sin. The guest said Timothy couldn't reprove an elder because he was not an elder. In essence, only an elder rebukes and elder which is not the intention of the originator Paul. Verse 1 & 2 of the chapter relates to older persons generally (Paul even said exhort him as you would your father), who were believers but not elders saddled with preaching and teaching. This is different from verse 17 downwards that relate to elders who preach and teach and can be reproved before other Christians in the community of believers by Timothy. So, no Spirit spoke to the guest about his misleading interpretation. If you understand my points now, you may now refer to my first post.

He also quoted from precept referencing Peter and Paul's debacle in Antioch. I would like to add that all through the 4 gospels, you never see any of the apostle's or disciples make a sound when Jesus remonstrated with the Pharisees. There's a place for rebuke to and certain authority is required to do that. The fact that I know that an elder is error doesn't give me the clearance to initiate rebuke. Observe how Paul rebuking Peter in Antioch was because he had oversight/authority there, no one else said anything
