My retro PC project with 3Dfx Voodoo 3, Pentium MMX 166/291MHz, AWE32 and MT32/GM emulator

Awesome job! Beautiful setup. I am running a K6-2 400 @ 66mhz bus with a PCI Voodoo3 and 64MB ram. Tho it looks like poop because I could not find a good period correct case. It's on a p4 case which makes me sad. Also have a K6-2 450 @ 100Mhz with an agp Ati Rage 128 and 128MB ram... runs a bit faster, but my heart goes to the Voodoo3.

I really like how good looks on this 21 inch LCD... I bought myself a 19 inch 1280x1204 DELL with IPS display, just for the aspect ratio.

for aspect ratio is good 1920x1200 in 1600x1200 mode ;)

@@mrazikcompYep, but I'm also into Windows 3.11 and usually 1280x1024 is the max resolution... I have a Samsung CRT with 1600x1200.

Těch 300 Mhz tam máš přetaktovaním P1 166MMX ? Nebo jsi naopak podtaktovaval na 166Mhz 300 procesor ? Jinak k tomu MT32/GM máš nějaké info ? Uvažuju ,že bych si něco podobného taky pořídil , když už tu mám header na Aureal Vortexu.Díky

How stable it is? 166@291 is a nice overclock - would like to see how the PC performs in some more demanding games e.g. Q3 or UT. Great video :)

It is a Pentium 233MHz MMX, where the Turbo button switches between two modes: 83MHz FSB x 2 multiplier (166MHz) 83MHz FSB x 3.5 multiplier (292MHz) With this setting, only about 2 out of 10 CPUs from my collection were stable :D. For the rest of the processors, the voltage would have to be increased or the frequency reduced for stability.
