You’re awesome for being so thorough! I did Saturday only this year. Considering they seem unsure about the location for next year, I decided not to take advantage of loyalty pricing. They seem a little disorganized already, so if they move venues, I can’t see that improving. So I’ll wait til 2021!

Nice review! That "donation" was a bunch of bull! I spoke with several people who were dropped of at the wrong entrance on day one so they could do a better job of communicating with the transportation the different areas to drop people off. Last year they had a seperate line for VIP and Express entry. I guess they decided not to do it that way this year since getting through security last tear was so quick that there wasn't even a line for GA. The water stations could have used something more to make them stand out more, as there was a station by main stage but was harder to find. Also there were GA bathrooms buildings at both stages that could be labeled and have something to indicate that they are open since you didn't find them. Loyalty tickets start at $130 for GA and VIP is $230 so that's a big reason that many people decide to go back. I agree with the statement that the Thursday was a bad idea. My friend and I had a Qube and Thursday check in was included so we had already decided we were going to chill before they announced the 4th day. Not only had a lot of people made travel plans and reservations but a lot of confusion was cause by what they decided to call the 4th day. Calling it "Early arrival" confused a lot of campers as they think that means they can arrive early can camp and get in for free. They should have called it a Thursday pre-party. Also it was really bad form to include artist names on the bill that were performing on Thursday before announcing the Thursday. I've been to other festivals that do a pre-party and have a seperate flyer for the pre-party or make sure that it is clear that certain artists are only playing the pre-party. The other huge issue was that they initially tried to charge people who already had their camping $50 plus fees to camp that Thursday. They supposedly refunded and set out codes to knock it down to $20 plus fees which was what the price difference was between the non camping and camping 4 day ticket price. There's always been a pool there. Attendance was better last year and there was no pool party. The pool was more crowded last year but it was hotter last year, and the pool is kind of my favorite place to chill during sets I'm not really into. I had a good time this year and it was still worth my money despite the bumps. They need to fix the VIP bathroom situation in the festival along with in the campgrounds as I'm not sure how well they were checking credentials with that one guard at VIP in the festival and I know for sure that there were no credential checks within the camp and that non-campers were easily getting into the campgrounds if they wanted to. That being said I will like to warn people about thinking about going to Imagine to wait as it sounds like they may be switching up venues next year as loyalty tickets read location TBA , there is no loyalty pricing for camping and there is a lot of rumors going around that they will be going to the former TomorrowWorld venue. I'm not sure if I really trust the festival promoter to pull of a seamless, smooth or somewhat organized transition to a new venue. I was already planning on taking a year off and doing EDCLV instead but may tack on another year or two for them to smooth things out down there in Georgia. Again nice review, glad you gave it a chance and I am REALLY looking forward to the Dirtybird review as its on my possible festival list!

OMG we were @ the hotel right beside you guys! (comfort suites) you guys definitely got a more affordable room lol-props out for that 1! VIP also had a hair salon: they did FREE braids and up-do's and lots of glitter, they just asked for tip so i got my hair double braided and covered in glitter for $20 :)

Yes, this was my second year at Imagine. Such good vibes there. You have to check out camping if you go again. Camping is a huge aspect of Imagine that many people miss out on

I've heard mixed about camping honestly! I've heard there isn't a whole lot compared to what festivals like what Electric Forest offers with food, vendors, seminars, etc. so a big maybe for me if I were to go back! The hotel and shuttle worked really well for us it'd be tough to do camping with everything that comes with it i.e. renting a car, buying camping supplies, etc.

@@vibewithade i have made some amazing friendships because of camping. Getting early bird camping is def the way to go. We have like a 20 person group now just from meeting everyone the year before. This is my fourth camping fest this year and there is a lot to offer. Usually one or two stages of music all the time, silent disco and just all out shenanigans. But we also drive so we aren't spending money on renting a car or hotel. Lots of variables for sure

At moonrise the Uber pricing was ridiculous. Similar to your situation our hotel was 15 min away and it was like a $17 Uber ride. Coming back the ubers STARTED at $50 and I told my boyfriend to wait it out and see if it’ll go down. Welp. It only went up and by midnight the price went up to $120

oh no yeah I will always avoid ubers for events most of the time. So I'll either camp, drive if we're in Texas or do a shuttle to avoid it. Sometimes it's best to just leave 15 minutes before the festival ends just to get the cheapest cost possible, but I know it's sometimes hard to walk away from those headline acts :/
