This is the most breathtakingly beautiful duet I have ever heard! Lucy and Martha's harmonies are just heavenly! Emotionally, I just go to pieces listening to Lucy's and Martha's harmonizing. It is soooo beautiful! God blessed Lucy and Martha with stunningly angelic voices! And Lucy and Martha have blessed the world by sharing their music with us! Best regards, Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona

Lucy and Martha were raised in a christian family, and anyone listening to them understand they convey the best christian values: caring for others, friendship, humility, family bonds, kindness, love , working hard to get your goals. In our strange , dark world, the Thomas family is a beacon of hope and light

Hello Carl, "Mary Did You Know " this song was the fifth most played song over Christmas by KZbin, for me this is the best version ever recorded, it is just so good the sisters are the best duet in the world ,they are just perfection. Take care Barbara.

You are so right Carl. This is a song that has a message for every day, a message for everybody, a message for all time. Lucy and Martha deliver that message to perfection.

This video was filmed in St Anne’s, Roman Catholic church in Ormskirk, Lancashire. St Anne was Mary’s mother! Two more Lucy and Martha duets you might want to check out are “Oh holy night” and “ Pie Jesu”

Mark Lowry wrote the lyrics in 1984, and the music was written in 1991 by Buddy Greene. Just fyi.

Beautiful rendition!though talking about Christian values, one dosen't have to have a strong religious faith in order to be a caring person especially where the Catholic Church is concerned, just look at its history!

Hi Carl, this is one of my favorite songs. I don’t particularly care for this version since there are many other versions out there. You were right as far as this being a recently written song, it was written in 1984. Although it is mostly played during the Christmas season, it’s not uncommon to hear it played anytime during the year. What makes it more of a Christmas song is the fact that the person talking to Mary is the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is telling Mary what Her Son will be like when He grows up. I have it set to play on one of my Apple playlists in my car so I hear it at least once or twice a week along with “The Old Rugged Cross”. Ciao buddy.
