You mentioned we weren't here to hear your prison stories, but I think that would make a great video for your channel. A video that's out of the ordinary, but I'm sure many viewers would enjoy!

I've read 7 Robert R McCammon books, so far. Boy's Life is the best. Fantastic book. Reminded me of It and Summer of Night. Special shout out to The Wolf's Hour. Loved that book. It's like a James Bond book set in World War II. Oh, and he's a werewolf.

I owned everything McCammon up until his return in the early 2000s. I have the The Wolf’s Hour on deck for a re-read soon. Superb writer, one of my all time favorites.

Boy's Life was the only book I ever read by him. Hands down one of the best books I have ever read. So nostalgic. I laughed out loud at the scene in the church. I read most of the scene to my kids with tears streaming down my fave from laughing so hard.

I would love for someone to adapt Swan Song. McCammon is a seriously underrated author.

I agree. McCammon is very underrated and such an exceptional author. I actually like him better than King.

Read almost everything by McCammon. He's a great and entertaining writer. Love his Matthew Corbett series. Wolf's Hour is great. Boy's Life is his best known work but I am a big fan of The Five.

Such a good writer, man. I wish I could meet him. I'm just too far from Alabama... I started with Wolf's Hour back in 2016, and went on a McCammon binge thereafter. There's still a few I haven't read, tho. I try to space em out anymore

Thank you, Mr. Durfee. As someone who got back into reading again, it was great to find your channel for recommendations. I just finished Swan Song, loved it, and I am now starting Boy's Life. Thanks for your videos! I will be reading your books once I am finished. Cheers!

I love Swan Song myself. I wish it was easier to get McCammons books but it seems like a lot of his stuff is physically out of print.

That's an impressive collection. I've priced a couple of his books out that I saw on your reviews, and they're expensive!

Durfee’s videos sell more books than Barnes & Noble. My debit card is hurting.

Love Robert McCammon’s novels! My all-time favorite is The Wolf’s Hour, a Great Great book also one of the rare books which I have read more than three times! My next two favorites are Swan Song and They Thirst!

The Matthew Corbett books are pretty good. A change from his horror writing. You picked a good 1st read with Stinger. Enjoyed it twice. Swan Song is still my favorite but a little dated. I will have to reread Boys Life. I didn't care for it when I was young.

What's the best Robert McCammon book to start with? Since he is compared to Stephen King, I guess I should mention that "It" is my favorite King novel. I'm very intrigued by this author, since I've heard him mentioned on this channel and would like a good non-fantasy palate cleanser between fantasy series', since I'm currently in a fantasy/sci-fi reading phase.

Same here! I've got so used to people's eyes glazing over and them saying "Who?" when I say he is one of my favourite authors.

I heard of McCammon years ago through stephen king, one of his blurbs or in a book but either way. This year I've sought out to read and collect for authors I dont own anything they've done. McCammon and laymon and little and a few others. Haven't found much but I have found paperbacks of Stinger, The Wolfs Hour, Gone South and Boys Life. Actively searching for The Night Boat, Baal and blue world. No luck yet. I have swan song on the way though.

Dude that is crazy that swan song was stolen so much at the prizon. I could see inmates resonating with it. Just finishing the book myself. First ever reading Roberts stuff. Awesome author.
