Coming from a very classical background in saxophone, I learned about paul desmond because my jazz teacher told me in my first semester that my tone sounded like it took inspiration from him. I understand why he said that now lol.

This is an ideal example of a simple solo that doesn't go overly complex or is filled with 10,000 sixteenth notes at break neck speeds. It's incredibly effective in its presentation and beautiful in its approach.
