Congratulations for having AIR-700, if you are general then you have 0% chance of getting IIT bhubaneswar but if you are OBC candidate then you have little more chance and for SC/ST surely you get IITBBS. IIT bhubaneswar is good for MSc in chemistry because I am also doing same but not very good for PhD.

well hostel are very new and the best thing is that you going to have single room and trust me hostel are really beautiful and mess food is also very good plus it has non-veg options too which is not available in north iits like kanpur, delhi, iitr. talking about placement if you are btech student then u going to have girls quota as this iit is new so number of girls is also less and u have less competition and high chance of placement, if u are msc student then u going to have hard time in placements. all depends on your rank if you can get older iit then please go for that and if your rank fit for new iits only then iitbbs is good option and also Odisha is very beautiful to visit and fun. best of luck🥰

1st they will enroll you as a simple MSc student. Joint phd means after MSc. If you have cgpa more than 8 you can apply for interview for phd and the criteria is bit lower for you as compared to other students. Benefit of take admission in joint MSc phd is that they will give you 1000 rs (for general+obc+sc+st) and 3000rs (for sc and st with family income less than 1.5 lakh) monthly ..and if you continue your phd from IIT bhubaneswar than they will give you 1.5 lakh rupee in the start of your phd and 30,000rs per month. Basically very 1st you are taking admission in simple MSc only ....☺

Also you recieved scholarship in MSc 1000rs per month (for general, obc, sc, st) and 3000rs per month (for sc and st with low family income). @@mangleshsingh6852 your msg is not conveying proper msg. Well its totally depends on you only. If you are the student having 2,3 publications in your master and having great score in net and gate then you should go with IISC Bangalore, IISER Kolkata and pune, TIFR because these are pure science base institutions then come with IITB, IITD, IITKGP...... IIT bhubaneswar is also good is your are little more than an average student Yes this IIT have good faculty and labs but research environment depends upon lab to lab because this IIT don't have large number of phd students.
