My Runescape account might be in Xtreme trouble... | Ep. 1 Port Sarim

I've created an "Xtreme" One Chunk Ironman in Old School Runescape named "SailingChunk", and I've locked him to Port Sarim. Port Sarim has one small introductory grind that'll get us used to the Xtreme One Chunk game mode, but there's also a bunch of small tasks for us to complete along the way to get ourselves started on a brand new account. Plenty of extreme grinds lie ahead for this one chunk man, but we're starting in Port Sarim, future home of OSRS's first ever new skill, Sailing!
My goals for this account are simple: See how far we can get using the Xtreme One Chunk Ironman ruleset before Sailing comes out, then see how the Sailing skill interacts with one of Runescape's favorite account types to watch! Follow along for all the grinds, gear upgrades, and chunk tasks that come along with rolling new chunks!

The "Really Starting to Cook Now" section of this video was phenomenal! Loved the montage set to the pirate music, also loved the breakdowns of the different food item times and their benefits. I would have predicted that beef and chicken would be worse, but not THAT much worse! The graphics for that section were really nice. Amazing work for a first episode!

Thank you for starting in Port Sarim!! I made a one chunk account several months ago in port sarim. My first time playing osrs instead of RS3. I fell off the cooking grind from IRL stuff and I could never figure out where to get water for the pitta was coming from. You've reignited my desire to play this account, showed me the answer that wouldve plagued me had i continued at the time, and saved me countless hours cooking just beef and chicken!!!! @@BrewScape Also, lands end is rollable from port sarim. Veos has a right click option to take you directly there. May or may not have wound up there when testing... for science.

@@Jugarnot1988 I mentioned this in the video, but you can only first go to Port Piscarillius by taking to Veos, as he introduces you to the continent of Zeah. Only after that, you can go to Land's End.

@@BrewScape Hmm as in, if you haven't spoken to him and haven't physically been to port piscarillius, then you are unable to go to lands end? If so, then that makes sense since when I first started the chunk, I went to piscarillius while trying to figure out if I could or not. which would then explain why I can go to lands end.

@Jugarnot1988 correct. I did the same thing on my account. The response to the dialog option when you ask what Zeah is is like, "Okay, hold on, it's gonna be a long journey!" Then you just end up in Port Piscarillius. Lol, so yeah, Land's End is not rollable until you've first rolled Port Piscarillius.

I've been watching @joshisnt since the start of his Yanille one-chunk and he's making me feel inclined to do one myself. You absolutely should! Especially if you go with an Xtreme ruleset, there will most likely be plenty of times when you have the opportunity to AFK train the Xtreme account and play multiple accounts at once. That's what a lot of people do. I'm sort of the odd one out who doesn't do that since I actually play so little. Lol

Garden of death is recent released quest that starts with the player looking at a weird message at some abandoned camp. Giant dwarf star with the player getting involved in an accident as its getting inside keldagrim One small favour starts as what you would expect to be a simple task, but ends with the player doing random stuff on the other side of the continent.

I've watched every Fray video! I love his stuff. I'm aware of the one tick method, but as you mentioned, it would have been physically and mechanically demanding. I opted for the chill method this go around. I'll keep this in mind, though if we end up with some crazy cooking grinds in the future. 👀

Didn't factor in the burn chance for pizza over burning meat in quick maths? That could easily add up if you burn half of them the extra 8 hours wouldn't save you that much time.

I did factor it in on the math that I didn't show. The cook rate starts at 60% and goes up to 72% at level 45. So it was definitely faster to do pizzas. I also did mention that I showed the rates without burning any.

To be more clear, the magic chunk rules on the chunk picker are as follows: There's a group of tasks called "Spells count as a way to process runes via Magic, and therefore can count as chunk tasks". This is automatically checked for all chunk accounts. Nested within that are two additional options. The first is what you all are referring to, which is called "Allow all spells to count as possible Magic skill tasks (otherwise only 'utility' spells like High Alchemy or Telegrab will count)". This option is not on by default for any chunk account, including the Xtreme ruleset. The other option is related to spells that can only be cast on PVP worlds. So access to death runes doesn't mean that I have to cast fire blast at level 59, but it does mean I have to cast enchant onyx bolts (if I had access to them) at level 87.
