I moved here from Chicago fifteen years ago from Chicago. The crime here is horrible. The shootings scare me. I lived in the Fountain Square area for almost five years. There is robbery and shootings. Accidents on Shelby street near prospect. Bomb threats at Indy Reads, etc. I wish I had the money to move back to the Chicago area. Or Pittsburgh, Pa.

I lived in the O'hare airport area. I do like Indiana weather much better than Chicago weather:

Ditto. As me and friend were enjoying walking barefoot through a pool of earthworms ,we finally reached a small wood bridge to get released from the wrat of the earthworms . We carried on marry way. Heading back out of a revein with opposing side running high up the revein . Path on the side, we were on just normal woodlscape . We carried on oblivious to nothing around us. Moving on down the rail, we go, and we happen to just stall without reason. Buddy may have needed to take a necessary break. Then, as it was completely still as if woods were silent, I heard this branch snap across ravein my head instantly turned turned with eyes magnifying focusing where sound comes from. Ole smokey bear quickly drops to one knee, knowing I had just turned head to th sound her just fatally made as the master survailer one thinks they are. The green paints and tan shirt do somewhat provide some cover but by know means camouflage dress. With this uncanny observation , it became the new journey straight back out to the vehicle as if smokey was never there. I'm sure he was greatly entertained in what he was he was viewing. With high expectations, getting a good ole Ata boy from papa bear. 😮 li, tle smokey keep you eyes focus in front of you a little more when out on survalence mission. Later that same year , roommate had friends over and were camping there and wouldn't ya know it? Smokey bears made a non welcomed visit to their campfire. With noses hung up in air. It's not the farry ole wise tales that will kill your buzz . It's the smokey bears waring uniforms out generating revenues needed for paychecks . Not worried about poachers orvl illegal trash dumpers. We've been living in a survalence state far longer than the personalized tracking devices in your hands cone along early 80s. Back when someone freedom living was beginning to get controlled. Remember, JUST SAY NO, I WILL NOT COMPLY. GOTTA BE STOPPED NOW OR IT NEVER WILL BE. PEACE, LOVE ,AND HAPPINESS . Paul Harvey signing off, gooooood daaay trippen.

I live in West Central Indiana, and these stories scare the living piss out of me! To think I grew up camping like it was a normal peaceful thing just to find out later in life that all these scary bedtime stories you hear growing up are freaking real. The skinwalker thing is the worst because they can steal your loved ones from you.

Lived in Indy my whole life. Stay away from the East side LBVS 😅 lake Monroe just stay where the campground is & don’t go to far into the woods. If you hear something NO you didn’t, if you hear your named being called NO you didn’t. Be at your camp at night & go with a buddy to the bathroom. If you do all of that you should be fine.

There's no campground on that road, and I don't remember a swamp, either. I think the story was a bit of lore mixed with a little fabrication. There is definitely a strange feeling there, though.

There are no campgrounds on Devil's Hollow Rd. ...it's a dead end road that runs behind a neighborhood. You have to park on the shoulder to try and walk up the hill to see anything....jf the cops aren't called for trespassing on someone's property. Potato Creek is known for Dogmen, not Skinwalkers. There's nowhere to "walk to a ranger's station"...there's a camp store and entrance, a main entrance and a nature center. Why do people not resesrch before writing these stories, or at least go visit the place they claim to have been?
